Snowing moderately still here in DA6. Would all Man Utd fans please goto to the NW thread.
I thought this was a NetWeather thread
Guys the back edge is over Bognor up to basingstoke its EDGING slowley ENE at snails pace-
Ahead of it we have a column of heavy snow in these co-ordinates-
South western end- Brighton
Western end - Bracknell
Northern End - Luton ( & beyond)
South eastern End - Hastings
eastern End - Gravesend curving into South essex-
so if your in this band maybe another 2/3 hours- although thats for the eastern side- the western end another 1/2
A good spell today...
S
Any chance of the heavy snow hitting the Medway towns?
-
-
is it just me or not doing as predicted? seems to be sticking around a lot longer than expected? might go on into the night...
Met Office have the snow falling here until 9pm.
-
i live in strood and yes it allways seems to miss us , this is probably the most snow weve had in years
It's my fault for moving down here 2 years ago. Sorry

GAME ON - Tottenham v Man Utd (1600 GMT)
The match has passed a pitch inspection and the game IS ON.
Yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss! Probably lose now
-
Is it normal for the Medway Towns to get lighter snow than surrounding areas? (I've not lived here long). The line of lighter snow just keeps passing over us.
-
Pitch inspection underway at White Hart Lane....
-
I know what you mean. I'd love to see some heavier stuff, but the fast falling light stuff is laying well. I cleared some snow outside my back door about 10 minutes ago and already that area is covered with fresh snow.
I can only think that the low temperature and dew points is making the snow lighter and more powdery. It does stick very well though!
-
Where the hell are you?
Rochester, Medway (i.e. Kent). The snow has been light here all day and the radar shows a line of lighter snow right over me! Got a good amount of snow on the ground but it looks like it's hammering down elsewhere.
-
Met Office radar has snow over us still at 9pm tonight. Do wish the lighter area of snow we're under would sod off though!
-
Pitch inspection spurs v Man U so might be called off !!! Dam
You'd think they could just clear the pitch no problem. The snow isn't that heavy!
-
Some yellow bits on the radar mixed in with the greens over NE London. This is turning out to be much better than expected!
That snow was meant for Medway. You thieves!
-
Can't believe Gravesend and Medway towns have missed so much of the heavier snow yet again from this cold spell. It's now heavier 20 miles West of here and will be for much of the afternoon. Very annoying.
Just touching 4cm in Gravesend now. So i suppose i can't complain too much.
You can see the precipitation weakening on the radar as soon as it gets anywhere near Medway. Much the same as Friday, only we have actually managed to get some snow today.
-
It seems that just up the road in dartford and Bexleyheath they are getting more snow than Medway, what is causing the major difference?
Looking on the radar, the lighter precipitation keeps moving over us with heavier precipitation elsewhere!
-
Chucking it down here, lucky to be directly under a green patch on the radar. Flakes bigger, quite intense.
Could you post a screen shot of the radar you're looking at? :-)
-
Snow is picking up again here. We seemed to go through a lighter patch on the radar for a little while!
-
Snow has been very light here and the snowlakes have been very small all day but its accumulated very quickly. Just shows how well dry, powdery snow sticks.
-
Just been to the shops. The snow is lovely and a good covering. Lovely powder powering from the sky, and there should be plenty more to come :-) Currently -1 with the dew point at -3.
-
Hope your happy with your snow now and can stop complaining
Took long enough
-
I don't really understand why it would be marginal? Temps here on the south coast aren't even above zero and are not progged to be all day, dew points are low enough all over our region as are the uppers.
It won't be. Don't worry.
-
This system is way more widespread than forecast. Wow!
-
Heavier snow developing after lunch. 6-8cm in the East. 2-4cm in the West according to Bbc.
Sounds like a slight upgrade.
-
Strange how there has been no orange warnings put up on the met office site given the length the snow is due to last and possible depths
Probably because Its a Sunday I would think.
-
Small flakes is better, people! It's less dense and accumulates quicker. Small flakes also means that the air is very cold and due points are low so it's not marginal.

Hoping the heavier snow hits here as the low edges further eastward.
