  1. look miguel if you don't like don't comment! here it is the same, heavy rain all day, feels the same looks the same, never said anything about totals, and it's not just a front from the west, it's a rain event, 'front from the west' is just a 3 hour thing, this Friday, yes you can say that
  2. Worse today here than the 9 so called named storms, probably on a par with Child of Nadine (karin) and 20th-21st July 07 been telling people I know since last thursday about the horrendous rain due on Wednesday
  3. very similar thing happened to me on 12th march 2006, was promised a dumping but got nothing, Shrewsbury had a snowfest, only had tv then though
  4. would think underestimating it, Flash my thoughts, pure rain to start, (uppers above 0) but turning quickly to snow, maybe 10 hours of snow leading to 4-5 inches
  5. Yes, great member to have on board, and dosen't like many including me LW252, just think about his own area
  6. Flash is around 468m, not as far north though, have to build a house 100m tall
  7. Quote thing being a PEST! gosh good luck with that, just checked it 402m asl in the north! snowiest member on the forum!
  8. Your elevation not good enough? don't blame you though for wanting to move higher, 200m not great, real snow elevation is 300+
  9. high pressure near us also seems to be getting rarer between Dec and Mar, since 2000
  10. more like Dec, late Feb never used to be like that before 2000, always used to see a weak Atlantic, high pressure, and cold, but not nowadays
  11. unusual to see cold air to west and mild air to the east, as WH said earlier bit topsy turvy setup, colder from west undercutting front!
  12. bit envious of the SW guys, they have fergieweather, Ian furgusson, can't have anyone better really
  13. think I'm lowest in region, and I am a huge believer of elevation being key factor for snow (as many may know)
  14. 104m, 341 feet mine on that, i usually use google earth
  15. Will, I've heard she is useless and downplays snow, you are in best spot (forum) places like Flash/Buxton, Leek, few inches, 200m, maybe cm, 150-200m wet falling snow wed night also heard other useless one is Eno Equator
  16. the quote system is a pest!, gentleshaw at 210m could well see wet snow
  17. certainly unusual to see clouds coming in from that direction
