Everything posted by I remember Atlantic 252

  1. 5th Jan got around 8cms, evening of 23rd Dec was my first snow around 2cms, then around 2cms on 31st remember 20th Dec too well, could see the showers tracking ESE missing me, Stockport damn. similar on 22nd
  2. bbc going for light rain here tonight, this winter is frost and rain, does snow still exist???????
  3. yes, if I had posted on here in say April 2013, '3 mild snowless winters coming up for the south' everyone would have laughed
  4. light shower missed me to the west? anyone west of me under it? around 5pm, thought it may fall as soft hail
  5. late Feb not winter as such, this setup in Dec would be true winter, but won't happen with too active Atlantic
  6. feel if we had that setup now, just rain at low levels in the south, average temp rise of say 0.3C enough to make a difference
  7. shame this setup not possible in Dec, due to raging zonality, but if it was, would be miles colder, ice days, but the reason Feb is the coldest month due to less Atlantic influence
  8. 3.39 those 2 planes, see them here sometimes, 2 together either going east or west, don't appear on flight tracker, wonder what they are, military training?
  9. yes boring, very quiet forum, boring netweather but this is miles better than our usual wind and rain, next tuesday looks a wet one, will be wishing then to have this weather back
  10. yes, but FI chart occlusion may disappear, I'm expecting showers off north sea, think the nasty easterly will happen
  11. Same as Valentines day just gone then, but yes cannot see any snow on there, could be a wet day for my location as showers move in off north sea
  12. Bastardi, wondered how you wrote that! used to come up as laminate floori
  13. yes, shouldn't even be a debate about stronger Feb sun, I know definitely, especially mid Feb to late Feb, the sun shines on more surfaces thawing more snow, than exactly same setup at say Xmas
  14. yes, certainly people that say the sun isn't getting stronger in Feb are wrong, the sun is higher/stronger in Feb than early Dec to mid Jan
  15. me too nick, but sure rain will appear at some point, dry weather seems to downgrade
  16. Thing I have definitely noticed as winters become milder, in 90's it used to be April, then March, and now Feb, in 5 years likely to be creeping forward, to maybe early Feb
  17. This day failed snow here, bbc banging on about loads of snow, but nothing, days leading up though were snowy, 21st to 23rd, but slow thaw on 24th
  18. Valentines Day look about this, last sunday when it all went south, lead up was showing lots of snow, the reality bits of rain for the south
  19. long way out of course but 00Z complete change, bone dry
  20. before my 'internet' days, only had bbc weather, but this by bbc was a fail, promised me a snowfest, and nothing but at least I had the 'new' Atlantic 252 to help the disappointment of no snow!
  21. snowy spell 6 years ago, days falling the same as well, Sun 21st Feb, very snowy here
  22. March is a month when I want either a repeat of 2013, or warm sunny, dry and very mild/warm, would love a 20°, but also would love snow it's the usual inbetween crap, westerlies 8° windy and wet that nobody wants
  23. good hope it comes off, but dry weather tends to downgrade, rain seems to always pop up
  24. the Frosty/Karl. of our thread! good posts, keep spirits up!
