  1. Hope you dont get the winds we've just had. you'll have drifts up to the window sills
  2. Wonder what the record is for late snowfall on dartmoor. Cant be much later than this can it???
  3. Just got the power back on after a 3 hour cut.Thank, goodness it's light outside.Still a good chance to get the candles out. That was some storm .Didn't last very long but v intence. have a look in a minute at the gusts at culdrose.
  4. Mad mad mad, blowing a hooley here and it's the middle of may. Got to be storm force gusts now My poor old echium's ,wiped out again.
  5. Dont think i would want to be on the seven stones light vessel at the moment Those arrows are as big as i've ever seen. Hopefully that's where they will stay, out west.
  6. Strange old day. Started of dead calm, then had a gale of southerly for about 2-3 hours, now dead calm again. Must be right in the eye at the moment, waiting now for the back lash N/W gale to hit.
  7. Stopped raining, skies a bit lighter. Now for part 2 ,wind increasing by the minute, gale force already.
  8. Well,it's certainly raining now but not particulary heavy. Bit annoyed as i decided to knock fishing on the head today because of the strong wind forecast. It's now 10o'clock and not a breath of wind Sods law,if i had of gone out i would probably be fighting a storm about now.
  9. Another nice spring morning, low cloud, drizzle and chilly, what's to be expected, i suppose. Looking ahead to the next 10 days,it looks very low pressure dominated with below av temps and rainfall. Getting that de jar veux feeling about this summer dont think i can take another. Time to emigrate.
  10. Agree with that. Nice day all in all and quite warm in any shelter from the s/e winds. Started raining at the fair in helston earlier but very on and of. Flora day tomorrow. Could be a bit wet first thing, but after the midday dance,it doesn't really matter as everyone is in the blue anchor
  11. Yes,not the best of days in the end. Fog on and of most of the afternoon and a lot of low cloud.Odd glimpse of the sun every now and again, just to remind me,what a lovely day, everyone else must be having Classic time of the year for sea fog here,May/june,cold sea temps, warmer air temps,so not a surprise really and certainly known it a lot worse. Looking more disturbed now for later in the week, hope it's just a blip and not a return of our normal summer fare.
  12. Complete opposite here, fog rolled in about 30 mins ago.Need the breeze to freshen a tad to blow it away. Hope your having a good B/H ,caught any silver sides yet?
  13. Yeah, but your not in England, your in cornwall I find the spanish beaches have better scenery,if you know what i mean Good job to otherwise know one would get any revision done. Another lovely day, just starting to cloud up.
  14. Doesn't get much better than this morning.Just back from setting nets.Amazing sunrise. Clear blue skies and feeling warm already.Great day to be revising .
  15. Great news. i'll hold you to that. The fate of all cornish folk now rests on your shoulder's.
  16. Didn't know you were in an Adam Ant tribute band. Yeah, cracking weather.Boat back on the mooring, start fishing in ernest again.Lets hope for a cracking summer with lots of big bass.
  17. Welcome back. Looks like you might have bought the good weather with you How long are you here for?
  18. Nice sunny day in the end, cold wind blowing but warm in any shelter. Congrats to plymouth on staying up Well done Argyle 1980 Looks like my team, stoke, are ok now, good win today.
  19. I do sound like a stuck record, but those east winds are lurking just to our south on that chart.
  20. I understood that the big bang created equal amounts of matter and antimatter, and that they mutally destroyed each other in the first moments of the universe. Luckily though, for us anyway, slightly more (less than 0.000001%) of matter was created as apposed to antimatter. Everything we see today, all the stars, planet's and galaxy's,is that 0.000001% of matter, left over. Probably a load of crap, just read it in a M&S xmas cracker. EDIT cant recall seeing you in the south west regional, nice to see a fellow cornishman in here
  21. Clearing here aswell now.Certainly getting brighter. Weather has got that muggy feel.
