  1. I think about this time of night, about 5-6 days ago, there here 131 users on this thread. Tonight, there are 4 and 2 of them are talking about ps3 games. Just goes to show the power of cold and snow. I take it that winter might finally be over?
  2. Days like these remind me,just how lucky we are to live down here. Beautiful day, really springlike. That yellow ball up there, starting to pack a punch now. love this time of year,so much to look foreward to.Trees coming into leaf, swallows, bluebells, flora day, cant wait.
  3. Well, there's certainly no spring warmth in the models at the moment, quite the opposite infact. If only these synoptic charts were around in Dec/jan,the potential would have been increadible. As it stands, spring looks like being delayed a bit. Might have to wait a bit longer to see my first swallow edit : saw bats out for the first time this year. Think it was last tuesday 5th before this cold spell
  4. Coldest night of winter by a mile here. Ice only started melting this afternoon Perhaps if i keep my fingers crossed aswell,we might just get lucky. Have got my doubts though
  5. Hmmmm not sure they will be of snow though You know how it works down here,if there's a chance it wont be snow,it wont be. Nice to put a face to a name.
  6. Ironic that about a couple of days ago i saw posts saying,"cornwall's well placed" and "you should do well" when in fact, i dont think anywhere in the county has seen,at most, more than a dusting. Just so dammed frustrating. This was a great chance for us down here. It's fair to say that we might go years now before we see snow again and many years until the next channel low in winter comes along. It's all very well to say "oh well, there's always next year" but generally that's not the case here. Anyway,it's only the weather and hey there's always next year .
  7. Think yourself lucky,i haven't seen a flake. Sun just broken through, would be quite nice if it wasn't for the wind.
  8. dont blame you. Managed 2 hours work strimming this morning and my fingers felt like someone had hit them with a hammer. Going back in a minute though, lawns very dry,. perfect for cutting. All a bonus today, thinking i was going to have the day of for the snow, silly me edit Forgot to say,at 11:36 i think i saw a few little flakes in the wind,TBH it was probably just dandruff
  9. Least camalot gets a winter Reminded me of my courting days.LOL
  10. I think it's a case of poor old cornwall once again. We must all be magicians because somehow,we always seem to magic the snow away.
  11. Must be v patchy then not 1 grain even here. If any thing the sky is getting lighter.
  12. Everything is alright. netweather forecast gives me light snow showers all day and even tomorrow morning.95% certain they are. Better go then and make a coffee and get ready for the fun to start. Will report back all the snowy details shortly.
  13. Dry as a bone, dont think we have had a single flake . Note to self, listen to the beeb a bit more. Looks like the wife was right all along. Just the tricky job now of telling the kids.
  14. Think the house is about to turn into a plane (howling outside) on the plus side,we might fly of to the channel isles. Doh,wrong direction.
  15. Just come back from penzance and it was rain all the way, Winds.v high now,few branches on the roads.
  16. Just clicked this while walking the dogs. http://du120w.dub120.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=0&messageId=31cd8646-898b-11e2-a8fb-001e0bcb32de&Aux=14%7C0%7C8CFEBAF1FB52A60%7C%7C0%7C0%7C0%7C0%7C%7C&cid=30bdcfa5847d96ad&maxwidth=220&maxheight=160&size=Att&blob=MHxwaG90by5KUEd8aW1hZ2UvanBlZw_3d_3d Half way up the pic is the spot where the Bay of Panama founded. Will try to take same pic tomorrow, fingers crossed, with a bit of snow
  17. I know everyone's attention is focused on possible snowfall(so is mine),but for me,these projected winds are equally exiting. Falmouth bay already looks like a mountain range this morning and it's set to get worse. It's really v rare to see such high winds from this east/n.east direction
  18. Captain jaspers, now that takes me back(about22years). Those were the days
  19. These blinking seagulls are going to get me in trouble in here . Enough now.
  20. Thats better,BBC falmouth now giving 6 hours of light snow,monday morning.(must be a blizzard coming )
