yeah certainly not forecast, and it could still miss us and just affect the midlands, it is moving NW steadily but ill keep an eye on it for a little longer

Well that stuff from the south east is definately making its way towards us and there is ppn building in situ around us at the mo too. Could be another covering again by morning lol

Just nipped out and its crunchy now under the tires on my road. Icing up now that the sun is going down. It could be very tricky in the morning around Yorkshire, a hard frost tonight and refrozen slush and melted snow is the worst.... Take care if your out and about this evening and in the morning

yes its certainly been a good event hasnt it in the end There is a very slow thaw going on here, despite the cloud. METO suggested another ice day but it seems to be just above...

some of the drifts are amazing arent they, such interesting shapes snow finds itself in lol Its stuck to my house windows too, havent seen that in a while

Great sight opening the curtains this morning looks to have snowed all night! About 4 inches here, but it's blown thin and drifted all over the place in some areas, quite deep drifts. Definitely equalled beast 1 depths, maybe even more here

awesome isnt it Its blowing about a bit but getting deeper all the time, looks like a few hours left yet so we could be waking up to some really good depth..... And another ice day to come tomorrow according to METO website for here so hopefully some cloud cover and still some showers left in the morning so that we keep it, and then another hard frost tomorrow night

Things definately building out to sea, playing radar back you can see South Yorkshire especially might get a more prolonged period of snow soon. Looks like its merging and pushing west

huge dry slot at the moment, nothing to warrant amber so far, 2 hours in showers well scattered accross Yorkshire at the moment London and SE the place to be, been almost constant snow down there all day according to radar

Well over an inch now in the spots where the sun hasnt caught the snow, so not bad for mid-march. Some slight drifting but its nice to see a decent covering on the grass and some other surfaces Lets see what the evening brings, im sure we'll all be here watching and posting about it......we know how to rock and roll on a Saturday night dont we lol!!!

whiteout here at the moment, true blizzard! The wind is very strong As PIT says though, its all melting, which is a shame, this intensity should be buidling up quickly but the showers are blown through too fast at the moment

Morning all Woke to a slight covering earlier but its melted on the roads now, just some left on grass and roofs. Its polystryrene balls snow at the moment, almost hail in the piles that I can see. Big gaps now between showers, so we'll have to be a little patient I think and see what this evening and overnight brings. Plenty of time left yet!

snowing now here, slight covering on cars and some surfaces but dont think we'll get much tonight in all honesty, fronts nearly passed now. Im waiting for the main course in about 24 hours time though

just about started to snow here now, very wet, but were only just in the cold air arent we Fingers crossed tomorrow, especialy overnight into Sunday, COME ON

Hi. It's because the BBC no longer use met office for their forecasts. They lost the contract and so is now from MeteoGroup for TV, radio and website. Met still provide warning details though on BBC, very confusing lol!

Not stopped raining all last night and all day! Been a long long time since it's rained like this. A lot of Sheffield with surface flooding on my travels this evening.... Let's see what the weekend brings with beast 2, looks like a cold snap to be honest but even seeing a bit of snow is always nice, I'll never say no!

Well last night was one last mini hurrah with snow around 1am here, giving a covering again. The mild air is now with us unfortunately, hence all the fog and its just going to be a wet, slushy horrible day. The worst thing in the world is watching snow melt away

Yes there's a thin white layer on the car now. Front is moving so slowly we could be under light snow for quite a while.. be nice to get a new covering, even if that is greedy lol
