Well I came to Scotland this week hoping for snow and it hasn't let me down! What a week in Strathyre lol... Over a foot here now... I am so happy! Thank you for letting me join in with you all this week, I love this place. Here's a few pics for you to enjoy

Hey all Well looks like a lot more snow came overnight and this morning, didn't seem to be in the forecast but radar shows widespread snow over the whole region! Hope everyone is safe and enjoying today's upgrade!! Lets see if I get home tomorrow or not lol......

Wow a red warning whilst on holiday haha! Think Strathyre is just outside it but I'm so giddy! Booked this break months ago to try and make sure I see snow this winter lol....i think I'll achieve it Sounds like its going to build through the day? Been sunny mostly up to now but snowing again. most heavy stuff has missed here so far Stay safe everyone

Good morning guys.... how's Yorkshire doing? From what I've seen on here and Twitter its looking decent there now. Morning guys! About an inch so far just outside Strathyre. Nothing major yet, but the amber warning has only just started hasn't it... Current radar isn't looking brilliant for here at the moment, heavy stuff seems to be to the north and south, doh

WOW nice! Ill venture out if i can but ill not be silly, those wind chill forecasts look insane! It could be very dangerous on a serious note couldnt it. Im bringing my drone though and i want some spectacular Scottish snow scenes

Hey everyone Visiting from the Yorkshire thread Im coming up to Scotland tomorrow for a 4 night break in Strathyre, cant wait to visit the gorgeous Scotland again! I booked it precisely to try and see some snow haha. Looks like ive maybe timed it just right? What do you guys think for that area this week? Wednesday-Thursday looks good from what I can make out? Hoping to see some good 'proper' deep snow by the end of the week And then to top it off, i might have some at home when i get back on Friday lol!

HERE SHE COMES BOYS AND GIRLS! -6 uppers rolling accross Yorkshire right now....the start of a very memorable week of weather for our region hopefully Just been out and its bitter out there already, and its going to get colder as the week goes on with snow pilling up for most of us. WOOHOO!!

Afternoon gang Just come back from the morning out and had a few pages to read in here, good to see it lively! Im still hopefull we'll all do well, loads of showers to come this week. Remember im off to Scotland tomorrow lol so im hoping i come back to a decent blanket of snow at the end of the week.......and a potential blizzard Friday might make my journey interesting as I approach home haha

Well its great to see this thread busy over the last few days. Looks like it will be a fun week accross Yorkshire. Lets enjoy these special times, they dont come round too often Lets just bask in this image from the 0z GFS 850s - almost unanimous agreement for -14/-15 uppers on the first day of meteorological spring!! One for the save folder that my friends...

One thing ive noticed since MeteoGroup took over BBC weather is that they are consistantly predicting higher temps than the METO. BBC shows 2c most of next week for my area but METO website shows -1 most days!! More inclined to say METO is right looking at the uppers and flow direction. A lot of experts in the model thread also think ice days.....

HAHA yes its so captivating isnt it. Im hooked, but always have been! Its these special rare setups that you just have to put the effort in for and bask in the greatness of it. As some say, this is at least a 1 in 10 year event and maybe more. Stunning output for next week! BRING IT ON (even though ill be up in Scotland lol, I hope you all get burried and then ill have a nice thick white blanket of snow to come back to next Fri)

I certainly do. I also remember Harry Gration stood up at Norton in Sheffield on Look North lol and it was an almighty blizzard then, i said theres no way hes getting home to York lol. What an epic 2 days that was! 30/11 was good but then waking up on 01/12 and opening the curtains to well over a foot of snow with it still coming down.........WOW. Could we repeat it?? Possibly with these uppers forecast

nice to see the ECM tonight was an outlier towards the end so still many reasons to suggest itl still be game on High likely further north.. Im actualy in Scotland on a break w/c 26th lol, I bet Rotherham gets more snow than the highlands whilst im away..how ironic lol!!!! I booked a break up there to try and make sure i see some snow haha
