  1. Fax charts Day 4 - Day 5 - Battery about to die, looks good to me. IGNORE - not the updated UKMO Fax for tonight
  2. A snow symbol for Thursday first I've seen for the SE during the bulk of December temperature were in excess of 10C of this a cold wintry week beckons. ECM 12z sets up a nice easterly, beats a northerly!
  3. Great news Haha I was just about to the post^^ You folks are too quick there are no definites! as I've highlighted many times. La upgrades are coming you watch...
  4. A seasonal ish start to January with some lengthy sunshine quite wet interspersed. Happy POETS day, good to have a lay in. I suspect we'll see some flakes next week, not expecting anything substantial, well who knows with weather. Parts of central belt experienced a good snowfall with -2C > -3C uppers.
  5. Pretty nippy from 120 to 240, there's somewhere in British Isles with -7C 850s.
  6. No this is not true we do not have cross model agreement up to +120, ignore these models if you want all of which have the capability to bring sustained cold. JMA @120hr UKMO @120hr CMA +120hr GEM eventually gets there +168hr
  7. A bit different? v different outcomes... Met Office went largely with their raw data yesterday. In their fax charts - explain that, can't be that lost? I think the UKMO is more on the ball, we'll see. The evening ECM is going to be a critical one, I think we will see upgrades coming.
  8. That's from 00z Here is the 12z not as good...raw windchill though
  9. Cold spell has not even arrived by then - cold conditions filtering down UK on Tuesday. Monday according to the UKMO.
  10. Currently FI is around T+96 mark yet folk are looking at day 7/8/9/10? Quite petty stuff. The 12z will dictate what way the pendulum swings, I cannot get over how resolute UKMO is.
  11. Good news. UKMO has been quite consistent I'm quite impressed, GFS on other hand has been bobbing up and down like a rubber duck. G'night All
  12. NNW for Aberdeen. http://www.xcweather.co.uk/observations Upper air temperatures just about cold enough for snow so not wholly surprising.
  13. Done that nothing seems to be working? Tried on my phone as well, nope.
  14. The 18z last night experienced a wobble as well before 'correcting' in morning the model is a mess. It does not have a good grip in the mid range I'd take its ouput with great caution the models as a whole struggle with cold spells, GFS especially. Some seek a nirvana, which is frankly ridiculous, if you've been on this forum over years - you will know full well it's never an easy journey.
  15. Yes, im very confused I think it's a v good run we do not need a textbook Greenland high.
  16. I do not think so heights building to S not what we want, I'd definitely take UKMO that block seems sufficient. Although the longevity of cold may be somewhat reduced.
  17. I think it is a reasonable update The Met Office are extremely conservative/safe. Usually behind the very latest as far as we the public are informed.
