  1. Nothing at all. Just the profile photo box whatever you call it goes vertical on its own accord. Summat is up? Oddly I've not heard this reported by anyone else.
  2. Hi, I'm experiencing a problem while trying to get into the process of uploading a new profile pic. Nothing seems to be happening?
  3. Sorry to y'all for coming across a grumpy man! Warm sector and a half but would be fun to watch that unfold. A very wet start to the day lots of surface water, chucking it down right now and quite dark must have had near 15mm in the last 24hours. A single good snowfall is all I ask, one which is enough to transform the London landscape, I have set my bar low. THUNDER just heard right now! while writing this post.
  4. Have they really? The anomaly charts show what a jumble sale of a run frankly it should be binned, I fully expect a shift back in the 00z time will tell. We are most definitely not going to any south-westerlies in a long time. Open your eyes please, have you bothered reading posts from the likes of Tamara/Chio ect...
  5. I know the word deluded fluttered around yesterday That assessment is wrong based on latest goods, when was this said several days ago? You do not need extreme cold for snow in UK nearing midwinter. It will turn much colder, period.
  6. Universal model agreement here very rare,,that dream could and should turn into a reality. I do not see any downgrades which will affect us getting much colder temperatures.
  7. Well I have been quite busy, and when I come across this I dropped my cuppa. Very 2010-esque as good as it gets really.
  8. In the local woodland the birds are chirping away like crazy - surely it is a sign? Oh boy...what a crackhead as much as I love his enthusiasm he should be more professional This one's funnier!
  9. I like the look of that warmly received be me - slight error on pronouns^
  10. She's off her trolley we ain't had any snow in a good long time. She does not speak on behalf of me, despite having weaker bones. Snow is beautiful, rain can sod off we get it all year round.
  11. The outskirts of London did forgive me certainly not for Central London. My freezer is currently sitting in that region, it's as far as what I'm going to get, such cold is inconceivable imby unless the Gulf Stream cuts off, a hydrogen bomb being dropped, on the capital that'll flatten it all out, and solve the problem of UHI. RIP me.
  12. I do not believe it got below -10C in London although close during 2010 just goes to show how hard it is. December 2012 had that failed beasterly? 12/13 winter arrived in the February.
  13. It is unusual outside of the Highlands only very cold air/ complemented by slack flow little to no wind, clear skies, to more widespread parts of the country, can give those sort of temperatures. Snow cover also helps.
  14. Indeed, I got my head snipped off. Man cannot compete with Mother Nature.
  15. lol.. Am I dreaming? It is becoming increasingly clear to me this second half of the winter is going to be EPIC staggering +ve anomalies to the north, sustained cold looks odds on to me. I have not seen model output as good as this since 2010. What we've had to endure over the last odd 36 months, it is perfectly satisfactory.
  16. Haha, yep I'm bubbling over with excitement. Chilly start here wintry atmospheric conditions with the mist, shrouding woodlands. I'm glad my optimism was warranted I have seen it multiple times for models to backtrack in a sense, yet I was ridiculed! How everything is set in the stone, weather forecasting is much more fluid than what, sometimes you get the impression in MOD thread. It does irritate me a little, how some are so quick to dismiss on the basis of one particular run which will be different to the next. Roll on winter
  17. I was not addressing that whatsoever... it's just what seemed rather notable to me in the semi reliable time-frame. Clearly in that part of the world I explicitly specified GFS is trailing behind ECM/UKMO? Unless I'm blind....
  18. Disagree I think GFS is playing catch up, I think the run should be disregarded. Regarding the Alaskan ridge extending towards pole the UKMO & ECM are singing from the same hymn sheet whereas GFS is not - only T+144! Which is where FI is and yet folk are already kicking and screaming will they ever learn? Typo, blame the auto-correct on this silly iPad. GFS UKMO ECM
  19. Good to infer confidence is high.
  20. I'd bank UKMO. This pesky lobe of polar vortex over Quebec area how typical! seems to be tampering WAA from even getting into Greenland.
  21. That northerly was rather crap in fact very wishy-washy, there was no real blocking to really funnel the cold - different ball game this January. You will see some snow going by latest model output... My iPad is up to no good!
