  1. Latest met office fax chart, that's what I've seen anyway. Other members in the model thread are posting various "further north" posts. Hope so from an IMBY perspective, its pretty much radar time to get a better idea of the track
  2. Nice surprise here in Dinoriwc now VID_20210123_160818.mp4 VID_20210123_161135.mp4
  3. The precipitation is moving E/NE yes? Looking at the radar, it seems much further north than modelled? Especially Vs the met office animation above
  4. Nice runs tonight. See you in the morning for a return to regular scheduled programming....or maybe not, this time
  5. Got a couple inches on the ground now but stopped snowing. Looks like the precipitation has passed my area and is moving away E/NE on the radar. Nothing else behind it. Anyone know how Wales is looking precip wise next few days? Apart from the possible Sunday event
  6. The rain has just turned to snow here. Fairly wet at the moment but it's turning earlier than I expected. Sleet started around 150m asl on the drive home from work, turned into snow at home at 304m asl, (above Llanberis) turning from sleet to snow and back again now, its trying for sure.
  7. IMBY post- I expect snow on thrursday after the initial rain deluge. I have elevation on my side and did very well last cold spell. 2 miles down the road had nothing. Favoured spots again, few surprises. But, expecting flooding first tomorrow and Wednesday. What a week we have coming up.
  8. If you can't believe it, probably shouldn't believe it. Narnia charts again tonight, followed by this again tomorrow morning. Models clearly don't have a jar of glue at the moment.
  9. Could it be classic cold spell dropped only to be picked up again at much shorter time frame? I always seem to remember this being said by the experienced posters in years passed.
  10. It's mad how this place all comes together as friends when the cold shows, all the bickering melts away like a crack den with everyone getting their intravenous fix. I love it (here not crack).
  11. Hope so. Though I have done very well for snow from cold spell just gone, I'd love another. It would be a classic cold spell/mild blip/reload from an imby perspective.
  12. Not 24 but I had 18 hours non stop in 2013 and had to dig myself out the front door, this was when I lived 3 miles from the Irish sea at 250ft asl. Last Friday I had 9 hours of snow, but I now live 1000ft asl.
  13. I've been way to busy to keep up past couple days. Skim read the model thread (deadly I know). Seen some musing posts on potential snow event from a front Thursday into weekend? Again, only skim read. What's the deal? High ground only? Or no ground at all and just rain? Help a busy fellow out
  14. It's nice that we aren't losing the colder options in the morning runs anymore, a good sign I think personally.
  15. What the hells going on in the mod thread? I couldn't keep up as it was some of the quickest moderator deleting response I've ever seen there.
  16. This is getting ridiculous, it's your own fault for getting excited at others people's ramps. I'm for one am capable of not getting my self worked up. Every one has the right to post as much as the next, I agree there are ridiculous ramps, snipes, baiting posts that shouldn't be here. But at the end of the day, this is a hobby forum, not a professional forum. Anyone can post, we live in a democracy. If you want "post-grad" only chat, professional only, then go to university, this is a forum for all.
  17. Models are volatile for sure ATM. From an IMBY perspective I've been lamppost watching for nearly a week now with rewarding results. This is today's window viewing, hoping all of you can get this soon. VID_20201230_154431.mp4
