  1. I thought looking at the map the SE being left out of the warning area was a bit random. Until I seen the extreme NW tip of Scotland also left out. Now that's random!!
  2. True that. I always think its best to get the storms in autumn then let winter proper take its course. This year like so many others will have an Atlantic storm dominated December to February. Might pop into the mod thread and mention that.
  3. That's a great picture. Seriously. And nice to see a blue sky!
  4. To be honest, not that bothered about whether it's going to get cold or not. I just want rid of this boring day in day out sameness. I'd even take some drizzle and a slight breeze. It's November for goodness sake, liven up weather. Do SOMETHING.
  5. There will be a few of them in the next few days too. And some eggs on faces.
  6. Met Office just not interested in very cold spell. Just normal coldish end Nov beginning of December. Those folks over on the model thread are completely bonkers to think otherwise. Someone on there even said the met had got it wrong!! I wonder what age are most of them?
  7. Here's the met office extended forecast from this day 11 years ago.
  8. Tipping it down again in South London. Still, the met office are saying there's a 10% chance of rain. They really are jokers the whole lot of em.
  9. Those Glosea charts are just witchcraft and sorcery. And would hardly do the 'climate change church' much good if they came out with colder than average charts would it.
  10. True enough. Though to be fair, next door's cat could have a fair go at forecasting the semi permanent area of high pressure to the south of UK and Ireland.
  11. Looks like it's been more sensationalist forecasting from the usual suspects regarding the 'floods' in Cumbria. Seen more flooding down here over the last couple of months. Looking at the video footage it just looks like a wet autumn day.
  12. Nor can I but at least we know what its going to be like in Gloucester tomorrow.
  13. 15mm of rain overnight. Turning into a pretty normal October. More to come too.
  14. You do have to laugh though. Since this much heralded, vaunted and talked about high pressure arrived late last week, it's rained every other day in London. Just chucked it down again. Briefly mind.
  15. I know it probably sounds weird but the darker and drearier the better for me. Add in the prospect of some snow and storms and the next 6/7months are a goer for me.
  16. I know! Isn't it ironic. And I think it's going to be like thus for a loooong time. Still only a matter of a few weeks before the Atlantic roars back into life for the rest of autumn and winter.
  17. Certainly should have been Met Office warning. 36mm in St James Park between 00z and 06z. Serious deluge. Their warning system will always be a mystery to me.
  18. Great to see you back posting again Tom. Been a while.
  19. Met office updated extended forecast. Probably dry Wednesday then unsettled countrywide till the following week at least.
