  1. It's right on the coast. You can see the showers turning to sleet and snow as they spread inland. Weston always escapes the cold due to its location. A few miles inland a different story. Check the radar, coastal areas is rain.
  2. Well Weston is always the warmest place in N.Somerset!!
  3. Its great...cold air sweeping snow. Great to watch
  4. Rain/Snow over Exmoor now. Now the rain has past, all PPN behind it seems wintry.
  5. Hey MR-R, whats your temp!! Will be interesting to compare for the next 7 days. Keep a log!!!
  6. The 2009 Northerly screamer really licked that winter! This tame compared!
  7. Very windy as that line of PPN passed into the area.
  8. Temperatures in the Bristol area do seem to stay around 5-6 for the weekend. You wouldn't expect anything but rain would you....
  9. W COUNTRY Once cold weather establishes during Weds, we anticipate it remaining effectively dominant through to (at least) end of nxt week. At least the end of next week?? Very interesting.
  10. The only thing missing are some cold temps conducive for lying snow. 4-5 not that cold.
  11. Not worried, just ties in with the breakdown to something midweek.
  12. I only ask because the forecasts were saying Wednesday is back to something more mild. So something hitting the cold air bringing snow then turning to rain??
  13. Guessing this is part of the breakdown process?
  14. Ok..a lot of dry weather in between showers. Some places won't see any and stay dry, others could be lucky to see something wintry.
  15. Looks like a lot of cold dry windy weather later this week and weekend. Better than last years rain rain rain.
  16. Maybe Monday yes, not the weekend. Monday is 7 days away..lol. The last cold event downgraded within a day or so.
  17. People mentioning 2010 model output again......got to laugh I did see people mention 63 before the last cold spell (cooler spell).
  18. Latest run of the GFS, being compared to 2010. You can but only laugh.
  19. Well the cold spell is now a cooler spell with wintry showers.
  20. Taking the GFS the -5 reaches the UK shores at 57 hours, then get mixed out at 99 hours. Then returns at 135 hours but mixed out again by 144 hours. Then by 192 the pattern gets pushed east along with all coldish uppers. Not a lot of cold upper air about, lots of mixing, probably due to it being PM and not something easterly or proper northerly I guess. There is no -10 Uppers in sight. This pattern is cold due to wind, but just looks like a mix of wintry showers in a strong wind, with anything settling way up at elevation.
  21. That looks great. Settled weather, frosts and above average temps?
