Hovering around 2.0, cloud and little breeze keeping temp up.

High 4.4 today. Not expecting any frost unless the sky's clear tonight.

Min -1.9 First time below freezing in this period. -5.4 coldest this winter a few weeks ago due to high pressure and wasn't during a 'cold' spell. Not likely to beaten this winter now.

If that high pressure does end up sat on top of the UK we can kiss good bye to any hard frosts that may change this spell from cool to cold. Could be dull, cloudy and cool and could take some time to shift.

OK, so we agree there is no to minimal PPN forecast to tonight, and agree that if something falls it will be snow. But what I'm saying is if there was moderate PPN forecast it wouldn't settle due to surface conditions not being cold enough. So pointless saying conditions are great for falling snow when there's no PPN. Sorry mate, 4-5 is not cold if you want lying snow

Yes but no PPN forecast and not cold enough for it settle because temps are above freezing. PPN in Scotland is forecast to run doe NE districts.

Sorry but you need a reality check. Snow may fall, but with surface temps nowhere near freezing it will be damp and wet. If anything does settle it will be over higher ground. Having just seen the forecast it showed no PPN apart from an odd flurry. Temps 5-6 degrees tomorrow. This period is nothing but normal Jan weather. It's just not conducive to lying snow, and to top it all there's no PPN just dry.

Well nothing tonight and nothing of concern next week according to the experts. The sun felt warm today, bring on the azores high for some early spring weather.

The METO must have a magic mystic ball. They missed last night's PPN, maybe just covering themselves tonight. Anyway again temps just won't be cold enough.

Yeah your about our 0.8 degrees or more colder than 4 weather sensors in your local area of Yatton.Readings: 6.9,7.0,7.1,7.1. When the sun shines the shade temp goes above that. What station have you got?

Yeah the car is not reliable. It actually feels warmish in the sun now! Cold spell what cold spell!Anyway MP-R I'm convinced your weather station is reading 1 to 1.5 degrees colder than it actually is. Especially when compared to mine and my father's Davis Vantage Pro 2.
