I'm actually getting quite tired of people in the west midlands suggesting that the band wont reach them or that its dying out already. I am even further north than you guys in the west midlands and im still very confident of the snow reaching me and even more north of me in say Nottingham and south yorkshire, so if I can be confident of it then why cant you guys? I'm going bed soon anyway then waking up at around 5am because I really can't be bothered to read another 4 hours worth of... "its all over" "its dying out, I told you so" "its a let-down, its a downgrade" You can start to say that tomorrow night if it never happened, but for now just try and stop being so silly about it.

The people who are saying about the PPN not moving very fast or moving more east then north... The PPN on the 18z GFS run shows it being where it is now by midnight... and then making swift progress by 6am and 9am and being around the midlands. I'm sorry that I keep bringing up the word PPN and GFS run, but there is seriously no change from the early forecasts, its going as its meant to be, looks like im the only one keeping a level head and not getting crazy here with all the talk of 'downgrades' and 'let down'

Ok just to back up why I said ignore that BBC forecast where it says no snow getting north of south midlands... Tell me, is that not showing PPN as far north as south yorkshire tomorrow midday?

This is a joke, everyone stop panicking about it and calm down, it doesent matter if the BBC have changed their forecast slightly over the last half an hour, the 18z clearly shows what the 12z showed and that is... Rain/snow band getting into the midlands by around 6am, slowly moving north most the day until it stalls around north nottingham/south yorkshire then fizzling out slowly. Theres no need to start calling it a downgrade or a let-down, just calm down it will happen, you will see. It's like one last minute change of forecast and everyones gone into metldown, it will happen as they said earlier and come across the midlands and slowly move northwards, everythings fine.

Dont know what your panicking for, theres nothing to worry about, it will reach the midlands and it will probably stall around north nottingham tomorrow afternoon then fizzle out slowly. The latest models and charts show this will happen and I dont think any change in BBC forecast will change it.

I never thought I would be saying this, but it looks like I could be in a prime position in Leicester to see some decent snowfall

Seems that there is some PPN over the east midlands on the radar but its clear as a bell here and I think its just the radar playing up a bit. Just seen the news, they reckon we could have the most snow we have had in a decade

Blizzards the front is likely to stall now for a bit, id say you might see your first bit of snow around 3am at the earliest.

Wouldnt worry about that, I have been following that radar for the last few hours and it keeps moving north-east with every run but the forecasted ppn is saying that it will just go north, which is rubbish because the ppn isn't doing that with each latest radar run.

The 00z Doesen't look too bad for me still, 850's are marginal for Thursday but the max ground temp of 2c for me will do! And the PPN is still well and truly there to produce the snow, still a bit 50-50 but still looks good from a personal point of view I expect the 06z and the 12z to be better than these last two runs though, dont forget ...It's not reccomended to to compare different model runs, for example... The 12z and the 00z or the 06z and the 18z etc... I'm going bed now, absolutely completely shattered! See you all tomorrow, take care
