Lovely day. If it wasn’t for the forthcoming weather I would describe today as warm. 21.4c, full sunshine and light winds. Glorious. The weather, after a very slow cloudy start, from mid june has been perfect. Getting dry now but we did have some rain end of June. Looks like we’ll get some more soon

Still some charts showing 33/34c in the very far SE. I think that will be the most likely result with 32c breached in the SE. Met office now shows 30c for Tuesday which I think is the highest i’ve ever seen it. Usually in my sheltered back yard we get 1/2c above what the met office say. I do think somewhere in Scotland is going to set a new record for the country on Tuesday. What is our warmest minimum ever temp?

How many days has that been since the start of your covid symptoms? A momentum killer exercise wise for sure. Yesterday I decided to take on Helvellyn. Perhaps a bit foolish but quite a gradual climb actually, the ridges were good fun. I know it’s England but posting the pics. Feels nice that my lungs are normal. A lot of wet weather recently but yesterday and today have seen some sunshine.

Today was a lovely day with it far less windy than of late (gales recently, unusually strong for June). Can’t say I can relate to the dryness. 41mm for the month so far with ‘20-30mm’ forecast for tomorrow as i’m on the edge of the yellow weather warning. Average for the month is just over 80mm so I suppose the month will come in drier than average overall. Some heat would be nice as it’s been lacking.

Model Output Discussion - Autumn arrives
SW Saltire replied to Cheshire Freeze's topic in Forecast Model Discussion
The west coast of NI/Republic are certainly in for a bit of a battering. The forecast is bad enough for myself over the water from you. I guess it’ll even things up after the best weather of the summer so far -
Got 4 of the Munros in the Lawers range yesterday. Weather was great to begin with but cloudy and exceptionally windy at the top of Ben Lawers (1200m/3900ft). Wed and Thurs have been cracking down here touching 18c, out of the breeze it’s almost shorts weather. Today cloudier start but burning back now, I expect another 17/18c day. Lovely (I see it is not to last sadly)

I certainly hope to see at least a bit of snow tomorrow when I tackle a few of the munros in the Lawers range (including Ben Lawers) but we shall see as that sun is very strong. A gorgeous day in the tropical south, an easterly is always wanted down here. Clear blue skies, wind is pretty minimal and temperatures of 17c so far.

Managed to get my fix of winter in Switzerland, perfectly timed. Snow when we arrived, snow when we left. Sunshine inbetween. Genuinely feels colder over here (at the same temperature anyway), -10c over there was ‘chilly’ and was in a t-shirt in -1c due to the strength of the sun. Despite factor 50 got burnt haha Base was 1800m and summit was 3500m FullSizeRender.mov
