  1. Ladies and Gents, Pretty sure now after looking at a blend of most models that Spring Proper is about to start in Tornado Alley. Looking like a significant pattern change will occur from the 9th April onwards and troughing should ensue, this could be the start of an active period of weather. Let the Fun and Games Begin!
  2. Car Maybe ?? Just an idea SPC Building has been hit at least twice in the last 5 years, last notable one was a glancing blow from an EF3 Careering down Highway 9
  3. Best Wishes Stewart, as others have said the organisation that is getting you in their ranks are one lucky company!! Also have learnt so much from your techniques and how all the parts of the Jigsaw puzzle have to slot in for long range forecasts to work. Your forecasts will be sorely missed on here Paul S
  4. Staying on Statistics for a mo Amazing stats for here with 23 of the 28 days of March being winds from an easterly source, this is going to be a new record of 26 from 31 I reckon by end of Weekend. Currently at 3.6c here for the month which is 4c under the normal 7.6 average. Incredible Month for extremes this!
  5. Dreaming or Warm Southerlies now or even Rain Bearing South Westerlies. Boring, Boring Boring Weather Btw No Snow here at the end of the Estuary.
  6. To Whet the appetite for those that cant wait until the next 6 or so weeks. Have been playing around with Stacking Lightning Images, remember this will not work in Microsoft Ice so with a little help from Mr Vicary have a program that even I can use (Yes amazing as that sounds) Just worked on 2 of mine so far, 1 from Arizona in 2011 and one from Last years Highly Electrical Plainview (Texas) Supercell from 1st June 2012 The Results are not everyones cup of tea but will certainly ve having more goes at this in the 2013 Tornado and Arizona Season, Uk ?? Pfft you must be Joking you actually need more than 1 Strike per Storm. - Plainview Supercell 1st June 2012 - Tucson Severe Storm 24th August 2011 Regards Paul S

  9. Do you really think the BBC Are going to forecast all the way ahead to next Tuesday to Thursday ?? Answer is Nope But that was just a kind heads up for you, believe what you want to believe, but I am hopeful post 405 will be doing the rounds next week when temperatures on the ECM Are showing as 1c on Wednesday with frequent Snow Showers in a brisk North Easterly Brrrrrrrrrr For what its worth your forecast should be spot on for the weekend, the far North Eastern part of Angular should miss out on any snow this weekend! Paul S
  10. Post Noted Gary Just a quick question, have you seen the projected cold pool coming from Russia middle of next week, quite an extensive area looks to be aiming a bullseye at Norfolk, Suffolk and the SE, that is a very bold statement and one that I could well be dragging back up next week when the snow showers start in earnest
  11. Thanks for posting that Gail, saw that earlier myself, amazing the rotation going the other way (r-l) seeing as you guys are S Hemisphere, the hook shape on a radar grab I have seen is also amazing being back to front with the hook on the SW Flank. Paul S
  12. Incredible Picture, those winds were fierce last night, had a 44mph gust just before midnight
  13. Some of the drifts especially on Bungalow Roofs are epic around here, but yes your measurements are similar to what I have here. Roads now getting back to normal. Btw yesterday was incredible in how Southend Council got caught out, I know people slag off councils but there really was nothing they could have done, we had frequent heavy snow showers all morning and early afternoon which settled on roofs and grass, the roads were soaking wet, by the time i picked the kids up from school my car temp was -0.5c and by the time I got home at 345pm it was showing at nearly -4c, that is an incredible temperature drop in the space of 45 minutes and turned all wet roads into sheet ice, the roads were some of the worst conditions I have ever seen around here! I Lost count of the number of crashes I witnessed.
  14. Stunning Scenes Here, Best Snowfall of the winter, oops I mean Spring! Will get out with the Camera on the School Run for sure. Icicles are nearly 2 foot long hanging off the conservatory, Snow on Tables is a good 12cm, Grass still looks to be a decent 3". Roads look like a dusting due to really strong winds still down here All Buses cancelled around the SE Essex Area as C Southend is a complete nightmare!
  15. Back under the Train again here Bed time for me, will see how much we get to (Depth) around 6am tomorrow, but am quietly confident this could be the best depth of the whole winter here.
  16. Do the right thing and pay 1-2-3-4-5 on the Supreme Novices Hurdle like Billies Tomorrow!
  17. Yh seems to wax and wane, will give it a few more scans but certainly losing intensity about 50 miles offshore.
  18. Just had a little measure up outside. 10cm in drifts 6cm pretty much standard on the grass 4cm on the Pathways About 8cm on bins, cars etc and still it comes down unrelenting!
  19. Can confirm that would have had serious trouble landing, the rate this snow is falling they would not be able to clear the runway at Southend
  20. Just peered out of the kitchen window, its hard to say but a few inches maybe more so far.
  21. Getting absolutely Mullered here about 2 miles from Rayleigh! The depth is piling up very quickly now!
  22. Can confirm Steve M SE & S Essex's Bottom is getting severly thrashed this evening! Or the cane whatever you prefer. Pictures to come tomorrow morning, gunna look amazing out there!
