Annnd we’re back to flooding. These paths were still ice this morning, clearer by lunch and now under water.

Sun finally making an appearance, most lying snow has now gone, still a few icy paths though, hopefully the sun can work its magic and get rid of those sharpish.

The big thaw has arrived, along with the rain. River levels risen very high overnight and the flooded fields are overflowing again, oh what joy. Still ice everywhere on pavements but not quite as bad as it has been.

Still not got past 1c so far today, dp -5. winds still flippin freezing.

Still several inches of snow/ice here, hoping it warms enough today to melt it. Radar showing rain/sleet overhead, but not a drop. At least its reached 1c, which is higher than its been in days, but that wind is making it feel alot colder.

Feels like the coldest day so far here, biting wind and reports snow from fields is now being blown back onto cleared roads, covering them again, honestly cant wait for the milder weather to get here and get rid of it all now.

A few light snow flurries here, nothing more than enough to blow around in the wind.

Having read your post, I thought, no cant be, so checked radar, and yep, looks to be heading this way too! Oh well at least more snow will cover the ice

Currently 0c here, went down to -6 last night and everywhere is solid compacted ice. So many vehicles got stuck in our little close yesterday, its on a small slope half way up, so they couldnt get any traction on the ice. Ive lost count of the times ive gone out to tell them to go back down to the end, which is flat and then build up speed to get up the slope, its hardly everest, but on solid ice, particularly vans, theyre stuck spinning tyres and going nowhere. Small cars, no problems. Cant see it getting any better til the beginning of next week when hopefully warmer temps will help defrost everwhere

Is that it for snow now? Are we done? Can I start clearing paths again? Please say thats it now, cant see anything on radar, winds turned SE, sunshine and rapid melting is whats needed now.

The large blob off the coast by Lowie is on course to hit here shortly. If we hit -10c tonight, its gonna be a lovely lethal dog walk for me in the morning. Knew I should have bought some cramp ons for my boots.

absolute blizzard conditions now.

Noooo, ive just managed to clear my front path with salt and its nice and ice free now. Non stop showers coming in off the north sea in a direct path to us, driving me nuts. I should just accept the inevitable, but I keep trying to clear newest dumpings, only to have another load straight after.

After several heavy snow showers early this morning, we've had bright sunshine for a couple of hours, not making much of a dent to the thick icy paths mind you.

After the 10 minutes of heavy snow, sky is blue, for how long, no idea, these showers just keep rolling in off the sea.

Just keeps on coming.

Heavy snow, fat flakes falling. Settling fast on deep compacted dangerous ice and on the areas I cleared yesterday to make it easier to get in/out of house! Ive really had enough now, love snow, hate solid ice pavements and roads.

Weve had over a foot deep in places, which was nice and fun for a while, but its slushy now and icy and damn treacherous, then it stops being fun.

Nice hour of sunshine, now its flippin snowing again. Make it stop!

Had a 5 minute blizzard but anything settling hasnt added to amounts and a slight thaw has started, blue skies now, quite like some strong sun to really get the thaw underway, snow is nice, but now id like to be able to walk without risking needing a new hip after falling.

LOL it is, its artificial, the whole back garden is, it was nothing but mud when I moved in 3 yrs ago and having two dogs the cleanest and simplest solution was artificial grass. Great stuff stops muddy paws, doesnt need cutting and easy to clean snow off!

So I cleared a path to the back door to ease the amount of snow fluffy paws bring in, and then it snows again .... why do I bother !

Snowing again this morning, had a bit over night as the footprints are covered over, which leaves a lovely icy treacherous mess. Bigger flakes this morning but very light.

Snow now falling heavier, which is weird, because radar shows nothing currently here. I tried to clear a path in my garden earlier, dont know why I bothered, now covered again, albeit not with the several inches elsewhere.
