Katie hun, take it easy - I know its easy for me to say - but working full time in a stressful job while pregnant isnt easy... and thats without your kidney complaint which is causing you jip!
I am sure you would be entitled to go off work sick if nessessary (sp) and get full wage for it? I know you work for the NHS, and depending on how many years you have worked there, you can get 6 months full pay signed off sick.
I'm not one for working the system, so to speak, but you really must take it easy while pregnant!
*hugs* to you hun

I wish I had gone to Uni
My brothers had a whale of a time
It makes me feel old to think that a girl in my class now has a 19 year old daughter
I know what you mean Katie! I sometimes wonder what could have been... however, I chose this path of life....!!
One of the girls I went to school with will now have a 13 year old son. Says it all for my school really!

Hi Lee-anne, its great the amount of people we get to know on the web isn't it Most of these people you would never see in real life when you think of the distance people live.
I've noticed its been a long time since you last updated your blog. Hope things are fine
Yep, things are fine........ just nothing happening in the Raven Family at the mo... Well, nothing worth reporting anyway!

Roo, you have lovely, loving parents
I bet they can't wait to meet mini-roo!

Does your sunroof leak?
Mine does <_<
At least when you've finished with the Clio you'll be able to drive any car, the clutch on the Clio is crazy, I thought I was pushing the foot rest.
 yep, the sunroof leaks.... discovered that after the storm on Saturday night!
As for the clutch.... not sure, as mine is an automatic - my brain can't cope with an extra peddle and gears!
-
Get him Sat Nav instead... it's a gadget, so he'll feel manly using it!
actually, good idea Lady P... does anyone have any idea where I can purchase such a scary, technical contraption?

I know Nick - that and a few other phobias and stupid obsessions I have! I was having a bad day today - other times, I am mentally strong enough to shrug off these stupid (yes, I know they are stupid and have no barings in what will happen to me ) feelings I have about luck/bad stuff.
-
lol Lady P  Talking of 80's cheese, must sort out a new sig song...

Congrats Roo. Enjoy the time getting it ready for when mini-roo arrives

how lovely Katie I seriously hope I get the chance to experience another pregnancy again - last time I wasnt in the 'right frame of mind' and I missed out on so much!
-
well, looks like (so far - but things could change!) we are in for some nice sunny warm weather next week, so should be no problem keeping mini-raven entertained with some days out! (better get a loan from the bank to pay all the entrance fees though )

I'm OK thanks Emerson Was a little unsettled when it happened, but am OK now
-
I'm sure everything will be fine hun.... theres plenty of police presence around all the stations at the mo. If nothing else, the police do put your mind at rest.
Enjoy your trip Katie

thanks peeps.
I did think about making a fuss, (as I remember my old English teacher telling us to do so if anything like that happened) but I just couldn't actually bring myself to say anything out loud. My biggest fear was he would get off the bus when I did and follow me (baring in mind I got off a good 10 mins walk to my mums) but thankfully he stayed on the bus!!

No more stressed than usual.... its just a terrible habit I have (picking and biting my lip and inside cheek!) There was a bit of loose skin in my mouth, so I grabbed it a pulled... and took half the skin off in my mouth!
-
thanks fp - I am off out to Asda's later (exciting friday night ahead of me!) so will look down their medicine aisle to see if they sell it. If not, I shall pop into the chemist tomorrow
Emerson... Bonjella is rather tasty, isnt it! Comes in handy when I run out of aniseed twists!

try not to stress yourself out with the house move Katie. Easier said than done, I know. I went through the same thing with Mini-raven. I was pregnant and trying to find somewhere to live (as I was still living at home with my parents at the time) I really got myself worked up about the whole thing (slow solicitors etc) but it all turned out fine in the end
-
Awww, so he eventually came out to play? Lovely pics Roo. How exciting!!

Thanks Mrs M & Katie. I will give some of that Bach remedy stuff a try. I have heard good reports about it - that it actually works. I didnt think of trying that out.
Also, I am feeling better hearing the news they may have caught at least one of the potential bombers. I know there are probably plenty more suicide bombers out there willing to do what those did on 7/7, but hopefully it might make them think twice about trying it again - the police, in my opinion have been exellent in their quickness at getting results.
-
thanks to all of you and your thoughts. Its much appreciated.
I was OK today..... I didnt feel nervous at all. The thought is still at the back of my mind - but I didnt feel the need to get off the train, and I didnt suffer from an acute panic attack either which was good!
Thanks again everyone

Looks like we spoke too soon, eh?
Here we go again....
I know - who would have thought less than 24 hours after I posted my reply, London would have been rocked by more attacks? Thank goodness things wasn't as bad as they could have been today.

Good point about the exercising Emerson. I'll walk to the TV in future to turn it over instead of using the remote control!
-
So we can expect another blog update when there are about 28 years to retirement then  .
All the best LeeAnne, and be strong .
well, I would hope it would take less than 10 years to loose 1 pound in weight lol! But expect further updates in my boring life lol!
But yes, I hope to say I am over a stone lighter between now and chirstmas..

Diets don't work, well in my case. If I were to deny myself something I would want it all the time
Around Christmas I got reading about the GI diet, not so much a diet more a change of the way you eat. More complex carbohydrates. I weaned myself onto Multigrain bread for toast in the morning and made sure I had at least Granary bread at lunchtime if not three bean soup. I found that I was no longer snacking and reaching for the chocolate all the time (until MiniLoo came on the scene and wrecked it all  )
Worth a try, no counting points or starving yourself, just changing eating habits a bit
Ooo, whats the GI diet (I have heard about it, but this is the first time I would have done it)?
Is it thing the thing where you have to know what blood group you are, and apparently loose weight depending on that?
I have had enough of starvation diets (because thats what weight watchers, slimmers world and Snow-Raven's diet are) and quite simpley love my grub!
If I could eat and loose weight, that would be great....!

thanks Roo....... I am convinced all is OK with my BP to be honest!! Its ever since they moved the nurses room (at the doctors surgery) up a flight of stairs that my BP has gone up!
I'm just unfit - walking up a flight of steep stairs and having a contraption squashing my arm does nothing for my stress levels!
(although the more serious part of me can't help that worry that something is more seriously wrong with me  )
