Next week and further on looking pretty Blocked...anomalies and the mean looking pretty solid about that.

Not so sure about that...it looks a most definite NW/SE split to me,and if anything things could become more widely settled towards months end and early October! The Atlantic is dead...and long may that continue.

Brief sum up...looks like improving,especially across the South after some potentially heavy rainfall tomorrow! Next week pretty good away from the NW....Great to see much colder air digging into Greenland also. I can't go into to much technical analysis at the moment,because my profile as gone from a maestro to a newbie! Just kidding. Love ❤ it. Ending well...just love that frigid air mass to the NW....and potentially very warm in places further South next week..let's have Summer and Winter in one big blast...im gearing up for one hell of a chase this year.. im primed ..just need the final coat of lacquer

Wow...2 posts in over 6 hours! I expect better from you come winter Tonight's ECM mean tbh looks OK away from the far NW. There is a fair amount of spread on those ensembles also,so there is as always a degree of uncertainty moving forward! On the whole though I think its not to bad. On a lighter note,just watching indecent proposal with Demi Moore.. 1 million pound to borrow the missus for the night! He could have my entire family for the year for that much Have a good un.

Yep as mbo mentions,still looking like a largely settled regime away from the NW as we move further into the month,and this holds firm for the start of October also! Anomalies hint at this scenario,keeping in mind this will be the expected general pattern over a set time,but will not necessarily show up odd days here and there that bring more unsettled conditions. So the set up looks similar from last part of the month through till first part of next month.

Don't worry Pete I'm here to give you a big group hug mate To sum up ECM...well next week looks largely benign,and decent overall...Lower pressure towards the NW perhaps turns things more unsettled later next week...and more so further North! Beyond that...perhaps settling down again towards the South...all in all,not to bad. Peace out...have a large one.

Speak for yourself mate,I don't even wear jumpers or coats In winter...probably a vanity thing though from lifting weights GFS 6z seems to have Heights to the East of us next week...and as long as that theme Continues,we will continue to tap into warmer continental air! Tbh it looks good again beyond later this week/weekend. Check the fridgid air over Greenland! That's getting ready to pounce later this year! I sincerely hope!

Monthly breakdown mate.. the grey shading indicating slightly negative anomalies. I've very often seen it indicating orange shading for that time of the year,so I'm kind of taking it as a positive at this early stage!

Quick one from me regarding tonights EC46. Not much to report on the coming week what the main models suggest...moving forward looks like a more prominent far North to South split...The conditions look promising for that final 3rd of the month,with only the far NW being subject to lower pressure at times. Worth noting the 7 month anomalies have been updated recently,and October looks like it could be a warmer than average month! Now interestingly it flags up December and January as being colder than average quite widely! Trend setter or to far off to know! Either way good to see those early signs pointing this way!

Bloody hell guys im roasting here...what's going on! How are things looking further on? I'm thinking bar a little blip we could be looking at a fair amount of warm and at times humid conditions over the next 10 days. Pressure looks perhaps on the slack side from Gem,but plenty of orange colours around the UK,and most definitely staying warm! Not bad for the time of year,but perhaps it's not as uncommon as some would have you believe. Just put fans on for crying out loud...my rooms like a Turkish sauna.. Great evening for a stroll with your other halves,and perhaps a cheeky one at your local. Enjoy if you can...should bring an EC46 update around 10pm...hopefully a good one.

Lovely weather on the way early next week gang...could get very warm also. Nudging 30c with sufficient . Yes it breaks down beyond mid week..but guess what...GFS 12z says...we don't just wanna give you that...have some more of the same the following week! For sure mate. Here's an update from tonight's EC46 mean.. Very summery into next week and very warm potentially! It looks like a breakdown towards the end of next week and further on..Lower Heights becoming more of a key player...so windier conditions with rain and showers around at times...but not necessarily a wash out by any means! Does this spell the end? Absolutely not.. in fact strong signal for Heights to rebuild towards the South quite strongly as we enter the final 3rd! To sum up...its very warm and settled to start...it breaks down in the run up to mid month...but potentially becomes more settled and warmer for the final 3rd!

Met office updated app for here as 25c and unbroken Could be higher elsewhere.. Give Shaky a few minutes and he will be on to say he doesn't rate that model Only joking mate..looking good next week.

All summer many have been moaning about the lack of sun...the lack of Heat...the lack of storms!! And hey presto just as we head into Autumn...we could be about to be hit by all 3!! Simply amazing....only in the UK Folks...only in the UK..

Look at that Low pressure around Iceland,and the crazy low uppers being pulled into Western Greenland around the flank of the Low..wow Is it possible to be getting excited for late summer warmth and cold winter sypnotics all at the same time!

I think mate that the met are now possibly hinting at this evolution! There app as me up towards 24c now come Tuesday with sunny spells... GFS 6z again hints at a much warmer warmer scenario pulling up..perhaps tropical storm uncertainty having a key factor in the models big swings these last 24hrs. We could finish the Summer with a boom! And we bloody deserve it.

For sure mate..I've been bigging up a summery end to Summer for years! I'm bound to get it correct sooner or later. The fat lady...or shall we say big boned lady....for sensitive purposes Is in the rehearsal rooms as we speak

UKMO at last brings Low pressure into the mix come early next week...how dominant will this become? I would imagine most areas will see some rain and showers moving through next week! Perhaps the driest conditions towards the SE. But for me this at long last spells the end of that constant gloom associated with a nagging North Sea breeze,and it all becoming trapped within the High to the NW. I've noticed Exter are now hinting at more settled and warmer final 3rd of the month! Come on guys,I posted about that possibility last night...so stop copying me Seriously though..the 46 does hint at this outcome... But for me even though conditions should become more unsettled,we should have a better shout at drier and sunnier moments,in-between systems! I'm sure many will take that.

Hi gang...hope you've had a good one,considering all the gloom,it would have probably been difficult. More of the same this week,but sunnier moments remain possible in some favoured locations. Tonight's EC46 brings a change to more unsettled conditions as we go through next week,and this pattern persists through to mid month. Could be quite windy at times,with showers and possibly longer periods of rain developing...these more prominent towards the W/NW. There is now an emerging signal for conditions to settle down again just after mid month...with High pressure gaining strength from the South...so basically we could be potentially getting another rather warm and settled spell as we approach the Equinox part of summers end! So to summarise....its not all bad for the month on a whole.
