Matt they said...its 3 weeks from winter yet,calm them all down...do your stuff! Send them some fi snow charts....spread the love... Hand on Heart I think we are in a better position so far at this stage than we have been for ages! Come on gang let's enjoy whatever the runs put out...even when rogue.

Come on guys...run to run differences are guaranteed...for me,yes its less amplified...but look where a segment of the vortex appears to be dropping! And look again at the position of the main vortex lobe is situated! It's well East! Further chances of striking gold further down the line.

It looks like Icon will sink towards runs end..but do we have a potential snow event in the making with low Heights very close by!

I didn't realise that Blue..I was wondering what griff was talking about with UKMO mogreps,I thought he had got the 2 models mixed up... In all fairness I was more concerned with his let's go halves on a log cabin statement....what would the neighbours say

Good lord that's some 6z run...it keeps things cold for literally the entirety! Now if that comes off,I may start thinking of something special so soon..but its 1 run,so feet remain grounded!

Good UKMO run to boot...absolute cracker...just noticed Marco p as tweeted that unless we get a true Block into Greenland,we will struggle to get true Arctic air in...but UKMO manages to achieve it at day 7. The potential gathers pace.

Wow...the output for once like as happened so much in the past,appears to not be backing down! Those latest charts from the 18s throwing the vortex at us,which like some have said could bring very stormy conditions. Check out the snow graphs...again pinch of salt...but I reckon we could put those evaporating cooling methods to the test here! This could get exciting...and who's to rule out a major snow event before conditions eventually turn less cold...thats if they do! Quite a lot too be excited about in the infacy stages of Winter! Again...Great coverage again in here today from you lot, if only we could ever meet up,rest assured the first round of beers would be on me. Oh and guys don't get to hung up over thinking a backtrack is gaining momentum! This is the 18z don't forget...if all earlier models would have withdrew the cold,I can guarantee the 18z would be still going with it. Unless all tomorrow's runs go downhill,I wouldn't in the slightest lose any sleep over it!

Here is where we stood around this timeframe back in 2010.. To compare is foolish I know..every event being the chance to be unique in its own right! Even with the differences currently,who knows what we could be staring down the barrel at this time next week. The much colder snap looks to becoming a distinct possibility....beyond that,do we really know! We live in uncertain times with all aspects of life...the weather being the most prominent of them all! To my knowledge the only extra firepower they have at there disposal is mogreps and glosea...and tbh the latter has been proven to be wrong as much as any other accessible data I've seen! Remember 2019? They was ceratain of continuous blocking and snowfall for weeks! But nobody on here could see it,with all the data we had too view...there was just absolutely know signs if it whatsoever! And that basically proves they can be just as wrong as many of us lot on here. It's been an ordeal folks..its taken me 3 hours to just get logged back on here! 2 days running at exactly the same time on both my devices! There is something out of the ordinary going on around here... And you know what I think it could be! A proper blast of Winter about too make the Headlines! Ens support from the GFs gathers...Will it snow! Surely too god,somewhere will get some action. Just a thought...22-24th November 2010 is when the fun and games began...the NE got pasted...the rest is History! The timeframes are eerily similar! Can History repeat itself? Never rule anything out! Watch this space....tick tock....tick tock.....

Now that's what I'm talking about...seriously tight pack of cold ensembles from ECM.. yes there is an uptick towards end of the month,but at nearly 14 days out...do we need to be that concerned! At some point the models will want to revert back to the climatology normal over our parts.Lets face it,none of these models are really accustomed to bringing widespread and lengthy periods of cold to our shores...so most definitely best we stick with that 7/10 day period at best.

Bit strapped for time this morning,but just a quick glance at the 6z ens...I think we know which way we are heading now...remember there are going to be minor adjustments popping up from run to run now,so best to keep things in perspective! They often get ironed out over the cause of 24hrs. Have a great day peeps,and remember if your gonna tell your parents about this,at least make sure they understand things! I mentioned to my mom about a split vortex,and she thought I was making reference to a new ice cream from the magnum range seriously...unbelievable.

Hang on guys do we need snowking to come out again and put us straight on 850s...remember last year when we all started to get heated over whether those 850s would deliver! Well they did and I've got the pictures to prove it! Amazing that we are now that confident of the cold landing,we will begin to pull our hair out over whether the 850s are good enough....well you know what folks....not me...as I've got no hair to pull out Eyes down for a full house

And that position may be even better again tomorrow! This looks a positive early set up so early in the season mate..and to make a call of we may not ever get another chance in mid November is tbh bizzare!

This to my crazy eyes looks epic and is certainly not a backtrack.. Just to add Marco p as just stated that increasing signals today of the Northern Blocking joining forces with the High to the West of us,which could bring some proper Arctic air in...one to watch...but the signs at this stage look very rosey so early on. And even having a glimpse of the Exeter long ranger,we still see know signs of any Kind of really mild and zonal sypnotic setting up! I think we are primed for quite persistent Blocked patterns this Winter..And this is not even taking into account of what could happen if a major SSW were to land.
