It's inconceivable. Just checked my bank statement eariler and noticed a cash withdrawal made at Joplin Walmart on the 6th May. That place is now in ruins. Hard to take in exactly what has happened. I went out there with quite a naive view. Being somewhere and seeing people going about living their as normal, completely unaware of what would happen later that month. The pictures make it very real and hard hitting. An otherwise fairly uneventful day quickly became embedded in my memory. So sad to hear news of death and destruction. A freakish storm season.

Got back earlier today, a little jet lagged but ok. I managed to check off a fair number of things i hadn't seen before, despite it being one of the more inactive tours. A great experience. A teaser for what's to come on future tours. Hope you all have a great time on the remainder of this year's tour. And a big thanks to everyone that went on Tour 1. Great company. And we still managed to have a laugh even when it went bust.

Didn't realise we needed to be there 3 hours early oops. Blimey...i'll have to leave at some ridiculously early time tomorrow then. Might go to bed now. Oh no.. still need to pack.

Here you go, Paul... I'm on Flight BA0193 departing from Heathrow at 11.25 a.m. on 28/04/11. Due to land around 3.25 p.m. (local time).Come back on the BA0192 flight from Dallas at 5.50 p.m. on 10/05/11. Do you think there will there be room at the hotel you're staying at on the first night for me to just turn up and book there and then ? Or have you booked that one in advance ?
