  1. 2 Flashes, and few rumbles here on welsh border. Died overhead, almost like a winter storm. not consistant.
  2. Yes warm front storms is interesting. You think the midlands will do well
  3. Something has formed near swansea area, dont think it's anaprop either.
  4. I cant blame you, the weather is probably the same has no idea what will happen, where or when yet.
  5. From my experience the best storms are usually a combination of the sw/westerly type joining in with the elevated/heat se/easterly. July 1989 I remember a terrific storm moved up from Cardiff towards Midlands was a massive MCS, major event.
  6. Yes it is.. hmm on the animation though it is moving in an "anaprop" like way, so not too certain. Next 30 mins will tell
  7. I will be chasing Clee Hill area/maybe Hereford from my base in Shropshire. But not until I know nearer the time, I guess by 8pm/9pm we will know for certain.
  8. She's a tricky one today  The south west will have the more rapid air change, while the east will have the heat energy. I'd tend to go with places that have not had storms as yet, so Oxford/London area, Bristol, East Wales/Midlands.
  9. Tomorrow night is interesting. Nightmare for a storm chaser as it could be 150 miles west or 150 east of you. Should know by about 8pm I'd say
  10. True there were storms/lightning but not packing the punch as widespread, as some have forecast tomorrow. I would love to be proved wrong as I will keep an eye on it and drive to Oxford/Gloucestershire. Gloucester does have a Level 2 on my app.
  11. A couple of nights ago they were also elevated but could not get going late into the evening on the south coast, the energy is being pushed east . I will be quite happy to be proved wrong
  12. Wow that is amazing for the UK, I havent seen anything like that since Singapore. very rare here. The GFS has downgraded for tomorrow night, I have got to admit the fantastic storms last night and much cooler rainy weather today that is the end of the current thunder spell. Tomorrow I think will be a non event now, even well into the night I might be wrong, but the energy component has gone.
  13. I will be watching how things pan out at the office until evening, then driving to Oxford.
