  1. Good Swansea storm from various reports. Something of interest near Cirencester currently, could be anaprop but if it's the first signs of a shower then could be interesting Swansea style storms cropping up in England
  2. I drove to Builth Wells and witnessed around a dozen Orange forks between 1930-2000hours.
  3. Clouds are very similar to May 11th 2005, they gave brilliant displays of lightning overnight. Good luck everyone.
  4. 9th/10th Mays have always been quite good This one is from 2008 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgrGjMB_LPo
  5. Yes Banbury could report the first Thunder shortly.
  6. Cell forming NE of Salisbury, keep an eye on that one.
  7. I will be running Periscope live on and off throughout the afternoon on the East Wales/Shropshire border. https://www.periscope.tv/StormChaseUK/1djGXDqrOOyGZ
  8. Worcester cell looks to be holding well, possible supercell
  9. Live Periscope - just keeping an eye on some showers moving up from Kington area https://www.periscope.tv/StormChaseUK/1BRJjMgXXYVGw
  10. Here on the Welsh Borders / Knighton/Ludlow area some really dark cloud bases are now moving up from Herefordshire. Lightning to the east about an hour ago has now moved away. More cells to SW, Kington
  11. https://www.facebook.com/130280250429958/videos/392892177502096/?autoplay_reason=gatekeeper Link to a video of the constant thunder/triggering.
  12. Most active storm in living memory in Shropshire, the thunder was constance/ lightning trigger on the camera constantly triggering. I have never heard thunder like it, constant train noise rolling non stop for 30-40 minutes. Strike rate recorded 202 per minute during the most active part.
  13. Some great photos keep them coming. Looks to be an interesting afternoon - good luck folks!!!
  14. Yes a bit bold, maybe SE corner with see some France imports but I dont see how the rest of the UK will produce storms.
  15. Wind up? I prefer to call it "the painful truth, rather than an exciting lie"
  16. France have some high temps today, so could see some decent storms, UK is too far NW I think, so no storms today for UK.
  17. interesting I used a similar homemade setup to catch todays strike , only 1 phone though and a stand, and ligthning trigger app
  18. Just got back home, the power was taken out for around 10 mins by close strikes. And I felt the static from a close CG, which my lightning trigger managed to capture.
  19. I have never seen such random storms breaking out in the UK. They are literally anywhere, throw a dart at a dartboard blindfold.
