  1. Hopefully if this activity holds until nightfall, then people may see lightning from many many miles away.
  2. Nice to see new storms firing, the Shrewsbury one I can see from here, huge towers going up.
  3. Mid Wales now starting to see developments, matching the EURO4 output.
  4. If I was a betting man I would go for Malvern and Milton Keynes today.
  5. Nice surprise yes but they build up pop corn style and run out of steam. The front moving inland is helping them fire
  6. Activity now fired at Worcester! I can see distant flashes to the east over the Midlands
  7. Yes there were towers going up over Shropshire/Birmingham area about an hour ago, could be those producing rain.
  8. Looks like something has formed west of Oxford, could be false return, but if real it could be a good sign that the cap is now breaking further inland.
  9. Angelsey about to get torrential rain http://www.redwharfbaysc.co.uk/web-cam.html
  10. Incredible very Tropical considering most places are sunshine .
  11. Yes radar shows quite high rainfall rate, much lightning?
  12. Great video, convection starts almost bang on mid day! like clockwork.
  13. Earlier posts make comments on the air being too dry, good point. The showers need that trigger for more widespread activity, looking at the next few days I think Monday/Tuesday will be best but on the whole it will be warm and sunny rather than thundery.
  14. Looks like a classic "Bath tub" situation tomorrow. Bath/Somerset cells tend to spark of later afternoon and drift up into Herefordshire, Wales in evening.
  15. Yes the 00z did blip back again to changeable conditions, but the 06z is a nice treat from sunday onwards, warmth closeby, air slightly unstable at times. Looks good
  16. Yes I remember May 2001, I was at a Neil Finn concert in London and drove back to Fulham at about 10.30pm , the day had been quite cold around 10C with a lot of mist then about 11pm-1am frequent lightning occured it struck a tree in the garden where I was staying with shotgun thunder, it did introduce very warm air though the following day was around 23-24C.
