  1. aye........and look at the line of thundery stuff start to explode as it moves away
  2. oh what a surprise, that line of storms stretching towards bristol dies a quick death the moment it starts to move towards me, and the rain dies away as well, leaving just uniform grey skies yet again.....honestly can't believe how the crap the weather has been here, whereas areas not a million miles away bathe in the sun and see cracking storms at night, we see nothing but cloud and drizzle.......weekend plans have been totally ruined, family birthday bbq forced to be cancelled..... 'kin great
  3. still diddly squat here I'm starting to dispair....cool with slate grey skies again......this is without doubt the worst 'summery' spell that I can remember....apart from 2 hours yesterday afternoon, I haven't seen the sun since wednesday!!
  4. total bust here....storms firing firing along outflow boundaries hence the training effect....individual cells are not lasting long, but the training effect is giving the illusion of long lasting and organised storms when they aren't IMHO
  5. an epic fail in not picking up anything in the SE (where the vast majority of the action is)...I used to have high regard for this model but it's been poor for some time now, the worst of the hi-res models IMHO....NW should ditch this model from their subscription suite and replace with something more accurate, hence the main reason I don't subscribe any more
  6. little or no shear, so updrafts are getting quickly swamped....storms are firing along outflow boundaries hence the training effect....for those like myself who haven't seen any, then you're not likely too simply down to the physics at play
  7. nah, I'm calling ti a night....nothing remotely happening here or likely to happen here IMHO
  8. Shame it's not darker as this beast is kicking out a lot of lightning
  9. Distant thunder heard from Salisbury plain......will post up some lovely anvil pics to my s/se shortly
  10. a genuine word of note for those watching the multicell cluster/MCS over northern France....don't get sucked into it's current track........Look at the projected 500hpa flow as that's the wind flow that will steer this system.....it will veer NW on a few hours time and won;t necessarily run up eastern England as has been suggested in earlier posts
  11. probably beaten to the punch, but cells firing just of the dorser/east devon coast
  12. I was just thinking "is Nick F on a saturday sesh down the pub?"....lol.....no doubt he will post a forecast when he gets chance mate
  13. Just predicted that to my missus....her reply?...."well, don;t bloody snore so loud then!"......*sigh*
  14. 12z arome is not that great, apart from the far SW...reluctant to fire many storms elsewhere overnight....lets hope it's wrong
  15. what socks?.............and not I'm definitely not talking underwear....not going there
  16. just hit 25C with a dewpoint of 19C recorded.....not so much sticky, more slimey!
  17. suns finally out, temps climbing quickly here.....currently 20c, dewpoint 16c, winds ENE at 16 mph
  18. yay, the sun's finally come out after a loooooong absence!......temps climbing quickly and feeling very muggy despite the breeze....bring it on!
  19. another pants day so far....cool, overcast, dark & drizzly....I haven't seen the sun for 3 days and yet there are still some in the model thread banging on about this wonderful summery spell we're having.....lol fingers crossed the clearance reaches here soon, as weekend outdoor plans are rapidly going out of the window #britishsummer
