Mr Loo is usually in charge at work but tonight he had to deal with Mrs Loo and the packing frenzy. I was on par with Gordon Ramsay ordering him to write yet another gift tag

Well I had a my Gall Bladder out on Wednesday. Apparently it's the thing that causes problems when you are fat and fourty. I would like to point out that I am neither :nonono:The operation was ok but my breathing and heart rate got a bit too low and they couldn't wake me up so had to give me adrenalin to bring me round. That and the anethetic in my blood has meant my head's been a bit all over the place the last few days (some would hardly notice the difference ) I've got four very fetching holes in my stomach now and a lot of bruising externally and internally. So I just need to take it easy and not be tempted to clean the house.

Been pretty busy the last few weeks trying to sort out little fella's bedroom after the builder fixed his wall. It was damaged by a roof leak last year and was long overdue for sorting out. This meant we had to remove the wallpaper in the rest of the room. Doubt it had been touched since 1905 when it was built, so we had wallpaper archeology discovering layer after layer of "interesting" wallpaper We had a grand re-opening tonight, complete with cutting the [s]ribbon[/s] toilet paper into his room. He was very impressed Kids xmas lists now run into pages and yet they argue of a balloon

Having been shamed by a recent story of weight loss by a fellow NW member and seeing how good he looked for it, made me think I need to trim up a bit So this weekend I bought a rowing machine. As Mr Loo said "the best thing in a gym is a rowing machine as it exercises so many different muscle groups" So far so good, I have discovered a tempo mode, which means I have to keep to the beeps as I watch telly

Tonight I went out to get basic provisions, fruit, milk and wine So I bought a punnet of peaches, a bag of apples and some bananas. I picked some bananas that didn't look too ripe and looked into the box. There was a strange green/yellow coloured object next to some bananas. I looked a bit more closely and realised it was a dead frog. It looked quite fancy, green, black and yellow. I mentioned to the checkout guy that he might want to remove this frog and they went and recovered it and what it's fate was after that I don't know Just goes to show you need to to keep your eyes peeled

Had a busy weekend traveling up to Leeds to meet some dodgy people (jokin)

I was very restrained but managed either lose my mobile or get it snaffled from my bag , I blame the gay bar Got it blocked but it annoys me. Dispite ringing it various times no one answered It's worth vertually nothing, pay as you go with £1 credit on it

Tomorrow is Princess Tbag's sports day, which will consist of various competative parents ensuring their children finish first

    Hey ho

Blimey, been a while since I posted

Well since New Year I have hugged more people and kept sort of incontact

We are having a few foreign students to stay (one at a time) , it helps pay the bills and the kids love finding out about different countries.

My hayfever is a nightmare at the mo, with my eyes really suffering this year

Looking forward to going camping at the end of May and then some weekends during the summer

Well hello 2009, I hope that it starts a more settled time dispite the current financial climate.

The last two/three years have been a bit up in the air with moving/having Princess Tbags/contracting. I hope that my new job can allow me to progress but with the ability to keep a work/life balance which has been missing for a while

I don't do New Year's resolutions as they are usually broken on the first day but will try to be more sociable and improve my baking skills

I'm hoping that the models will be kind and give me a bit of the white stuff I have been starved of since we came down to Devon

My only New Year's ambition is to give people more hugs and keep more in contact with people

Well this morning I said goodbye to my last remaining baby tooth For some reason my second tooth never came through and I've been hanging onto this one as long as possible but alas it has been condemed and removed this morning *sniff*

The dentist was impressed that I managed to keep it for so long. I have it in a "Fairy tooth" envelope the dentist gave me and shall see what the tooth fairy brings tonight. Personally I think it should be worth more as it is rarer but Mr Loo reckons it's worth less as it's not in the best of conditions.

Been busy trying to get ready for Xmas. Trying to work out the logistics of getting pressies to different family members. Other people at work are fretting as they haven't sent out their cards and I haven't even thought about it

Little people were happy to open their advent calendars this morning but Princess Tbags has not got the idea that you only open one a day

During the summer I got chance for a good deal on a Centerparcs midweek deal around Mr Loo's Birthday. We went for the first time in February and really enjoyed ourselves and I thought "hey, I've no idea what to buy him" so I thought it would be a nice but expensive birthday. To be fair it was just over £300 for a 5 day break, with taking our own food we spent very little extra.

T'bags loved the swimming and feeding the ducks and squirrels. Little fella liked Trampolining and going down every slide possible.

Me and Grandma Loo had a complementary Spa session due to some "problems" last time. It was lush, 3 hours of going round these different sauna type rooms, different experiences. My fav was the Turkish Sauna which was like the steamiest room you have ever been in with vicks vapour rub in the middle

Mr Loo discovered that I had a hidden desire to play squash, it was tiring but I really enjoyed it (dispite my sore arm)

On the whole we had a really fun time and I feel almost relaxed

Today has been a bit of a bad day

First my strap on my (Clarkes) shoes broke, so I had to fix it with a paperclip

Second I didn't have my house keys (long story) so got home with two tired, hungry children. Thankfully a neighbour was home and we took refuge waiting for Mr Loo to return.

Thirdly I find out that my nextdoor neighbour died this morning (not the one we went to). He was a nice guy, I didn't see him too often but used to take him runner beans which he loved.

Mr Loo did the Commando Challege this weekend. Three miles of crawling through tunnels and running through mud etc. I got him some trousers from a charity shop because you have to throw them away afterwards. He's got lots of bruises and achy muscles but I'm proud that he did it and raised some money for charity.

Today we decided to go to the beach as the forecast promised a reasonably good day for September.

Little fella wanted to try his new Skim board and we took Princess Tbag's body board. Neither had used them. Knowing that little fella would need some help I took my tankini (it I had worn my bikini I fear I would have been harpooned by Trinny and Suzanna ) We were all useless at the skim board and tryed with the body board instead. Little fella had a few goes but got a bit sick of drinking the sea

Mr Loo then came up with a new game, he pulled little fella along on the board through the shallow water. I then had to take over when Tbags got clingy with Mr Loo.........my back aches now

Today has been lovely though, was sat out in the garden until 8Pm with the scent of Jasmine wafting past my nose.

Well the last few days have been very blustery. In an attempt to preserve our almost 11 foot sunflower me and little fella spent a lot of time on Thursday evening trying to support the big sunflower...............alas it was felled during the night

Yesterday was a Family day for Mr Loo's work. Kids got covered in mud and enjoyed themselves big time.

Today we did a carboot sale to get rid of some stuff, was ok, took over £70 after the costs

Princess Tbags has her usual share of bumps and scrapes but this morning was rather nasty

She had just tried to go to the toilet and was sans pull up. She was jumping up and down on our bed (I was concerned about little "accidents") Next thing there was no bouncing noise just a thud and she had disappeared down the side of the bed. As she fell she managed to land on the plug of my hairdryer, the wrong way up

Lots of cuddles and cold compresses on her injured bottom and she finally cheered up but not without a Pink plaster was put on it.

She's ok now but it really made me think that we have been lucky (touch wood) not to have anything really serious happen to our kids. This was further pushed on me when I saw two separate children with muscular problems causing walking difficulties today. They were both happy children, doing their darnest to enjoy being playful children and make their parents run round like headless chickens trying to keep up with them.

Anyway, made me realise that I should very grateful to have two children and should put up with all the annoying things they do.

Today I bought Mr Loo some Sunflowers................he was a bit unsure as to how to accept the gift

I just wanted to bring a bit of sunshine into his life

I went to Exeter today to commit Retail therapy but failed miserably

Chatted up a chef and got his secret receipe Otherwise, I am aware of the Credit crunch and that when it comes to clothes cheap is not always the best. Better to decide what you want and spend the extra on that.

Camping next week is also on hold

This has been a busy weekend with a trip to B & Q to see about buying a gas BBQ but alas we did not buy one.................Katie yes/no going overdrive

Got lots of cheap curtains though

We did the most daftest thing by going to look a log burning stoves on one of the hottest days of the year on Saturday..........it was horrid in the showroom but we managed to get a hot (no pun intended) deal on a small stove but still up to 7kw

Today we decided to get rid of a load of stuff and so decided to do a car boot sale. All ready, got there to find out they had moved it to the other side of Exeter (approx 5 miles away) ok, so we head off. Got there to find out there was a flippin car show at the venue

The day was not lost though as we had a bike ride to the beach and splashed and paddled in the heat of the late afternoon

forgot to provide the link to the title. In searching for stuff for the Car boot sale I found an Easter egg that had been hidden too well

Well the weekend started off badly with a flat tyre on my start to an early weekend. Although I had AA cover I didn't have much charge on my mobile so called Mr Loo to come and rescue me. I managed to seek refuge in a pub  but only had a soft drink
Thankfully, as I only drove a very short distance, I was able to get the tyre repaired. They say it is covered to 150mph :o I think I'm safe there
It got better with the weather though :o

Me and little fella had a conversation about boats and the names they have.
I tried to explain that on the whole they tend to have girl's names rather than boy's names. He was saying "why do they have names and why are they girls/boys names?"
I tried to explain that names are usually girl's names but could be anything. He looked around the room and said "what about Vaseline"? What could I say

Today has been a weird and scary day. Started off at 12.50pm walking past Giraffe wondering why people were outside looking really shocked.
Went back to work as normal but then the police appeared, not just some but the whole of Devon police force (or that's how it looked) The police cordons got bigger and bigger until we were told we could not leave the building. Sniffer dogs checking all bins etc in the area. Then we got the shout "Everybody out, evacuate the building now" I have to admit that I was shaking like a leaf going down the stairs realising that I had to go closer to Giraffe.
It's just been on the news that they found a 2nd divise and the guy had mental health issues. There is lots of speculation but I shall leave that for the tabloids. Hopefully I can go to work tomorrow
End of the day, at least no one (except one) is injured but I know of one bloke (parent of little fella's friend) who was in hospital with shock having been in there today :o

The last few weeks have had me a bit distracted from my usual mindless ramblings. We all have distractions and sometimes we need to just step back and take stock.
Thankfully I have had good results so anyone hoping for my demise will be very disapointed :o
Currently I'm on a mission to be green and reduce my food miles. The veg garden is coming along very well, need to fight the slug battle now

I was the weakest willed person on Friday, some girl walked past me with the box for a Wii Fit and (dispite saying I would not buy one) walked into a nearby store to see if they had any
Having said that though I think it is excellent. We have all enjoyed it (except Princess Tbags) Little fella ran a total of 6k today :o
The yoga thing is the best bit, it can tell you on the balances how well you are doing, far better than a DVD or even a class
Me - I'm queen of Super hula hoop (sway those hips girly)

Yesterday I decided to make some buns and maybe even a Chocolate Coke cola cake with the kids.
Little fella wanted me to use my food processor
If I had only been making the buns I wouldn't have bothered but I thought "hey, it's worth getting it mucky" We measured all the dry ingredients out and I then told Princess Tbags that she can press the button. Then follows a horrible clunk and grinding sound. I switched it off to realise the whisk attachement had not been attached correctly and the whole thing was wrecked. It was so strong it had wrecked itself
Anyway, my very expensive investment is now unable to make cakes It has a 10 year warranty on parts and motor but I can't find the receipt and I don't know if I'm covered for "numpty" behaviour
    Boo hoo

Well it's been a long time since I did a blog entry. What's been going on?
Well we had the builders in to knock down the wall between our kitchen and dining room. We didn't use the dining room as it was north facing and a bit cold but now we don't hardly use the south facing sitting room as the other room is so usable
Princess Tbags has had Chickenpox which was anything but fun. At least she has had it and doesn't have to worry about getting it in later life
I've been on a seminar on starting up my own business. It was very good but has made me ask a lot of questions of myself, the biggest being "am I a risk taker?" I'm not sure at the moment

Just got back from a break at Centerparcs, Longleat.
Never been before but it was brilliant. We took our bikes and hired a trailer for Princess Tbags, who loved being in it, she was like lady muck being ferried about
We were lucky with the weather as it kept dry and quiet sunny. Me and Mr Loo snuck out one night (MIL was babysitting) and went swimming in the dark. It was pretty scary going down the flumes in the dark but the rapids were fun if a bit chilly.
Me and MIL had a Three steps to Heaven spa treatment, which was a back and neck massage, followed by a facial. I wanted a Belgium chocolate wrap but thought better of it
Overall, it's been a brilliant holiday and worth the money. I even stayed off the internet for 5 days
