  1. What i find particularly interesting is that Sunday's potential appears to be upgrading which is noteworthy for cold uppers coming from the west. Usually the opposite happens. Yes, tomorrow morning could surprise a few albeit it looks a bit more marginal than Sunday.
  2. Every GFS run seems to upgrade Sunday and Monday's cold uppers! Plenty of snow showers in a northwesterly wind, veering more westerly by Monday.
  3. Yes, it looks brilliant! At this close range we should be confident that it will not downgrade.
  4. A gritter has just passed here in Portland road. I don't know why they even bother at this stage.
  5. Forget that, the wind will be northerly so they will all head to north Wales.
  6. A bit of altitude and being out of a big city. Two important advantages.
  7. The intensity has picked up here. Pity it is the middle of the day though. If it was night time we would get something on the ground.
  8. From my desk window I can see Portland road. It was gritted last night and there is no way anything can settle at this intensity. The ground is just starting to get wet.
  9. Yes, the cloudy night is always bad news before a snow event.
  10. Euro 4 is not expecting any snowcover for the Manchester area and I think it will be right.
  11. It is ridiculous how people overeact! Some people in the office saw the light snow and said they should have worked from home today to avoid disruption!
  12. A few flakes are starting again. I think this time it is part of the band rather than the random precipitation from the east.
  13. Another night without a frost here by the look of things. There is complete cloud cover again :-(
  14. Me too! It even has the dreaded rainshadow over Manchester.
  15. Euro 4 continues to show no snow accumulation apart from the Pennines and Cumbria.
