    Just popping in from yorkshire... Nearly there guys ... 29.8c. My thermo is 1.8 m above ground in deep shade.

    Hammering down here at calder park wakefield. And the rainfall radar colors don't even look that intense at the moment, im back home in darton, barnsley by 10 pm. Should be a challenging 2 junctions of the M1! Thanks for the info ian.

    Me for one thaught we would never see this milestone, I only caught a bit of this story. Thaught it might make a rather heated ( pardon the pun) topic of discussion. Mind you, as a grower of trees it is no secret that the optimum growth for trees is just over 1000 ppm.... Should we all be worried?

    My worst nightmare also, hope gav gets his milder weather. This cold has outstayed its welcome and is costing me over 100 quid per day... Rant over. Back to the models and I find it astonishing that the big three keep sub minus 5 850's pretty much the entire run.

    Just popping in from yorkshire, hope you lot don't mind. A good 10" level with 2 ft drifts up the side of my house. Heavy but fine snow for ages now here in Barnsley.

    Minus 3.3 to plus 6.4 today. Already fallen back to plus 2.2 now and the mist is coming in.

    As a grower, I want to see the cold this year now assigned to the archives. The more delays through cold, the more it costs me. Last spring was unfavourable to say the least and I don't care for a repeat. I was doing a bomb with some of the nineties winters, now it seems a distant dream.

    I know it sould not have to come to this but, I recall not long ago the MOD thread was titled "model output discussion - the hunt for cold" My request to our headmaster (redcoat paul) would it be possible to trial two threads for the MOD discussions? (hunt for cold) (hunt for zonality) or something along those lines? Regards Ric.

    Well the cold air that has been hanging on like a one arm man hahging off the edge of a cliff with an itchy bottom has just let go. A sharp rise to a dizzy 3.8c

    i fully agree here, my forecast off tje back of todays model output would be.... Never too warm with a high chance of extreme boredom!

    i really hope your right, my reconing was that as the low developed it woul get ever more marginal untill the low passed south drawing in cooler uppers from the east, hope your right, I dont share this optimism.
