Well I think if nothing much is stirring for heatwave lovers with nothing much likely on the horizon yet atm it does make one wonder if this summer might be another one to forget for heat lovers.

As May /June is my least fav time of year im rather ambivalent about what the weather does at this time of year,once its not a washout. Yes days like today can be very nice but im just not too pushed about what the weather does at this time of the year. -
Recorded my highest temp of the yr so far today,max of 21.2c,only the 3rd day of this month ive recorded temps in the 20s.

Today felt more like Autumn here then late spring ,dull and cloudy with a max temp of only 12.5c.

Today here certainly didnt feel like only a week away from the start of summer. Dull and cloudy with a max temp of just 12.5c,cool for late May. Felt more like Autumn then late spring.

Yes they were wrong about last winter. I think their summer forecast will be wrong too or a least our summer wont be as bad as they suggest. I would go for a decent first half of summer with a poorer second half but not bad overall.

lovely day today,wall to wall sunshine here but despite this and the fact we are now in mid may a max temp of only 13.8c which felt a little odd considering but of course due to a cool airmass.

Today was one of the better days here ,started off cloudy but soon became brighter with mostly clear skies. Max temp 17.5c

This spell has not been all that good here at my location .Sunday is the only day that could be described as summer like. The others days have been mostly dull cloudy affairs with some rain at times. Dull and cloudy and drizzle outside as i type. While the temps are warmer overall the last number of days,they have been nothing special,got up to 18.9c on sunday, 12.9c on saturday,13.0 atm.

.........and then today i recorded my warmest day of the year so far,max temp of 16.8c despite a lack of sunshine.

Warmest day ive recorded this yr ,max temp 16.8c despite the cloudy conditions all day. My previous warmest day of the yr so far was way back on March 12th (14.9c).

I had 7.6 for April ,just missed out by 0.1c, the same happened to me in jan,missed out by 0.1c then too. So ive been just short of spot on - on 2 of the last 4 months which isnt bad though.

I recorded a higher max in March (14.9c on the 12th,warmest so far this year),then i did in April (14.4c on the 19th).

Had some wet snow fall this morning,which was interesting to see just a few days away from May. Pity we could not have had this set up about 3 months ago.

Some very heavy hail showers here today which gave temporary coverings,at times my back garden looked like it had some snow cover so big were the hailstones. Just about managed double figure temps,max temp of 10.0c in the early afternoon,then the showers got going. Currently clear ,bit of a breeze,temp 5.4c.

A dry and fairly bright day overall here today,sunny spells and more cloudy periods. Temp got up to 13.4c but feeling much cooler in the wind. It has gotten a fair deal colder in the last few hrs,atm partly cloudy stiff breeze and a chilly 6.3c.
