Yes, bring on some decent convective weather, anything other than this dreary and unpleasant cold gloom. Another weekend spoilt here, 9-5'ers must be thoroughly fed up, thankfully I do shifts :) At least the ground is slowly becoming less of a mud-bath though!

Yes i agree, its been a massively overrated high pressure spell with temps no better than average and plenty of cloud cover, people saying todays forecast was wrong when in actual fact the forecast was for rather cloudy not completely overcast, no signs of any prolonged warmth just rather cloudy weather with sunny intervals to damp windy atlantic based weather later in the week.

Looks like becoming milder, apart from the GEM which still shows a chilly Easter.:)

When the charts allow it, I big up any cold potential and if they show a long draw southerly plume like the Gfs 12z did yesterday, I will highlight that too as I like warm and cold weather in spring.

Quite the downgrade from your 16C/17C's this weekend frosty. :D ....Even with warm uppers it feels really cold today. :cold: colder than a sunny arctic northerly, only in the UK. :D

Certainly wouldn't need a jumper at 15C. I suspect you may be waiting a bit for 15C in the evening though. Noticed the temps for this weekend have been knocked down quiet  a bit locally.

lol, yeah it's funny how absent those ramping up mid to late teens in Model Output Discussion earlier this week have been the past few days, there has been a massive downgrade to temps esp at night, if cold temps were downgraded you wouldn't hear the last of it from these same people. :D

  4. Similar thing happened last September^^ sunny Monday/Tuesday then the high filled with gloom and the sun never reappeared all month, hopefully judging by the 06z there's still hope yet, tomorrow and Friday nice at least.

More north sea grot today here, sun still not broke through, 15.8c

Hope for what?.... Noah's Ark?  :D

  5. Much cooler than what July would give with the same setup, definately feeling autumnal now and mornings/evenings noticeably cooler, all in all very nice indeed without summers excesses, nice autumnal charts on offer too. :)

  6. A very uninspiring weekend for the South by the look of the fax charts, yet more fronts draped across us keeping the lovely warmth/clear skies across the Channel. High pressure might move in next week, sadly a chilly one with quite miserable temps for early Sep. Yawn.

Yes staines looking potentially very wet again for the south/midlands later Bank Holiday Sunday/Monday before a cool drier Northerly from Tuesday which could be very chilly with cloud cover bubbling up by the afternoon like they usually do in late summer\early autumn, can't see much in the way of warmth at all, already feels fresher now.
