  1. Agreed but give it a few more days and possibly weeks yet please. Let's continue the gradual warmup and then we can go BOOM. I have a feeling you might have to fill in the English Channel firstly though.
  2. As we have talk of some of our natural wonders emerging, in the form of Butterflies etc. don't forgot the link to our observations through the seasons forum. Oh, and I have updated my blog with a posting today, should one care to visit.
  3. Why Thankyou. Yep, went about single figures here too, for the first time since 8th March? or should that read 9th March. Either way, a bloody long time.
  4. forking hell. Yet another frost looking likely tonight it seems. Time to get into my nice toasty bed, heated courtesy of a 1p a night electric blanket. Oh how green I am.
  5. Let's hope this isn't the weather until November. It might start warming up by then.
  6. Can you wait another two weeks, jethro? Well at least, if things pan out as currently suggested by the MetO medium-rangers, it should be much better by then.
  7. I was going to say something along the lines of wow, you've seen one but Sprites beat me to it.
  8. Please feel free to move if there is a more appropriate thread but the latest wildlife news doesn't look too promising. http://greenlivinglo...itish-wildlife/
  9. No end in sight here with a few snowflakes blowing in the wind just a few moments ago. Currently grey, dull, cold with AT pushing only 2.3c. After next weekend, it does look likely that one or two select areas within this region may well reached double-digit Maximums once again, here's hoping.
  10. I think the flying pig at 0mins 55 secs is probably a bit of a giveaway too.
  11. Well it didn't quite manage 8c here in Newbury but it did make it to 7.4c which is the warmest Maximum since 19th March. Before that, you have to go back to the 8th for a double-digit Maximum. It is a rare day indeed when I match or surpass SunnySouthCoast's microclimate down in Southsea.
  12. Temperatures are climbing well here in Newbury with 4.0c now being reached. At this rate, assuming it doesn't cloud over, we might make 8c or so, a bit warmer than suggested by the BBC forecasts.
  13. Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis were looking hot on the dartboard tonight, that's for sure. And before you say it, not in that way , they're originally from Stoke don't you know. As for the weather, in Newbury it is overcast and cool right now. 1.2c after a Max of 4.1c
  14. Don't think there is much hope of seeing any of this activity for a week or two either. Will our crops and food stuffs ever get pollinated this spring? http://argylesock.wo...13/03/24/12416/
  15. That'd be my most likely match given the confidence shown by the media outlets that this incoming depression will NOT effect us.
  16. Hello. For you, I think you'll be at the Northernmost edge of the system I guess. For most of us, it will be a no-show I guess. Actually, I am guessing at best as I haven't followed the model outputs other than having picked up on the thoughts from others. Now my internet is back up, I'll occasionally be seen lurking and maybe posting too.
  17. Well I have another snow day in Newbury. I think that is the 11th of the month but I have lost count now so am not that certain. I ventured north of Newbury just the other day over into central Oxfordshire and whilst they haven't had over much snow there with probably 3 inches lying snow at best, there were drifts which had blocked the road up to about 4 maybe 5 feet. Currently 3.4c and the last date of double-digits Celsius was back on the 8th. More cold to come next week it seems. Blimey O'reilly, Gordon Bennet and all that.
  18. Thanks AWD, not a lot going on then. I suppose, in time we can expect a slow thaw of snow for the places that truly need some assistance right now. I fear what the impact of a sudden warm-up would be. So "touch wood" it won't come to that.
  19. Hello you little lot. My internet has been down for several days and only now have I been able to get online. Can somebody update me as to what the weather may be doing, come the weekend and into next week. I have seen the TV forecasts and they suggest more of what we have now, what do you guys reckon. What other netweather news stories have I missed?
  20. By the way, I was stumped at first but at 9 to 10 days out, this would be covering the all important EASTER WEEKEND, would it not. Not unless you go on your much needed skiing trip, they won't. Holy moses.
  21. Probably. How to make friends and influence them or not as the case might be.
  22. A bit outdated, considering we are at the Spring Equinox but I have just updated my blog with a posting which you may like to read. http://naturestimeline.com/2013/03/20/january-catch-up/
