    Just had a flash of lightning which I wasn't expecting.

    Yeah but it's dependant on whether the system is north or not. The 12z shows it north but it's definitely not set in stone, I'd expect some flip flopping so we'll see.

    Could be snow on Thursday if the forecast holds up, Met office also going for wintry weather.

    1.c here and cloudy, precipitation coming in, was falling as snow earlier so this should do the same.

    There's an Met Office warning, snow above 200m. Main concern is ice.

    I'm gonna say a flop for most places, wintry mixture with temporary slushy deposits on high ground.

    GFS is going for around 60mm of rain for Thursday over south Yorkshire, could be a tricky one

    Going by the Meto looks like another miss, 3.c and rain. BBC is showing a couple of hours of sleet I reckon we'll see a bit of transient leading edge snow.

    I'm north of Leeds currently and right in the heaviest echoes, torrential rain and lightning though nothing out of the ordinary.

    A pretty big flop for the majority of us it would seem.

    Not tryna disregard the report of snow but looking at the lampost it looks like its just snowing but if you look at a puddle you can see that it's sleet.

    Uppers aren't budging any time soon till around midnight so it looks like another flop for London. I see the Meto is going for heavy rain from 5pm onwards dropping to 2.c. Sounds about right.

    A patchy dusting here but I suspect the UHI is a tad stronger in this part of London.
