No, but you can do what the electrics companies have been doing for years: run them under footpaths.
Yes just think it took 5years to lay Internet cables under footpaths Its totally not practical, It will remain a upper class status symbol .

How does that work for the 20% of UK population living in rural areas? Public transport is non existent.
And the 1 million people living in terrace houses you cannot run cable across footpaths,

No Idea - we've had a solar farm put up here - but a wind turbine farm wouldn't be bad idea as we do get alot of wind up top here
Mentioned on news across the hills of ponty ,hope its not to close the noise of the blades, plus the massive lorries

Not seeing anything to support that wild claim in the model output! Double figures for many today and a mild night tonight with fluctuations in the coming days but nothing to support record breaking cold. Let's have some realism please.
Met Office seem to picking up a cold continental feed possible with HP to the north dragging a cold continental feed ,in7days time.

@keithluckyNot even ordered the seed! Think I’ll wait to end of March re seed sewing. Late seeders tend to catch up sooner or later.
Yes nature good at that.

Snow largely stopped. Rather hoping that’s the end of it for a while. Looking at seed catalogues and realise how behind I am even with the thought of sewing seeds!
Wait until end of week get sowing.

Good morning and apologies for intruding on your thread but I just wondered if anyone could help.
i’m wanting to bring my son over for some sledging fun as we weren’t fortunate enough to do any even though we had 7 cm of snow and rain and was all slushy and miserable.
so I said I would take him over to Wales for the day.
Can anyone recommend some good sledging hills. Bearing in mind we’re coming from Somerset so don’t really want to go to North Wales as that will be quite a trek.
when I googled it a place kept coming up saying Corey arms. We could go there but that’s still a bit further is there anything closer in Wales to Bristol direction that’s got a good snow covering and some good hills to sledge down.
really appreciate any good suggestions you can come up with.
and once again apologies for intruding on your thread. I normally post in the south-west due to our locality.
and I wish you will get some good fresh falls of snow
Many Thanks
Milder air on its way leave it.

How do you view the met office warnings that detail each borough affected?? Like torfaen, Glamorgan etc…?
Timing is wrong colder air won't reach S Wales until dawn,N Wales should achieve another covering..Front intensifying ang moving south later.
