    Skies are quite dark here in Wolverhampton, no rain to speak of though and the radar isn't giving me much hope!

    Sat in the office here in Wolverhampton and there are a few showers passing by. This seems to me to be a lot more south than originally forecast as I thought it was northern England that was in the firing line today?

    Trying to view it at work but getting a "404 Map not found" error. Could be my work blocking it tbh, I'll try again when I get home. In other news, sat under a dreary blanket of grey here in Wolverhampton!

    Can't see anything here in the west midlands, but I imagine that living in a built up area doesn't help with light pollution!

    Had some very light snow falling while commuting from Halesowen to Wolverhampton today. Nothing substantial or of any note though. Couldn't even see the flakes when I left the house, it was only when I started driving I noticed a flake every now and then falling through my headlight beam.

    I'm at my parents in Swindon for Christmas and I've just been down to the Coate Water roundabout to have a look at what the flooding is like down there.Looks like nobody will be going through the subways any time soon!

    Well, the 6:00am drive to Coventry from Swindon was interesting this morning! A couple of fallen trees on the A420, but other than that it was the spray that caused the most issues. No delays though as I avoided rush hour and was just able to go around the trees (only over half the road), but I hate to think what it's like now.

    Just took this picture of some mammatus clouds coming down from the bottom of the anvil of the cell passing south of Swindon. Really pretty!

    Oi, those of you in Swindon get some pictures, I'm at work in coventry atm so I'm missing all this! My dog is apparently not too happy about the thunder haha

    Sky keeps lighting up intermittently here every couple of minutes. Distant rumbles of thunder.

    Bloody hell! Just got back to swindon and there's thunder, lightning (Cloud-ground) and heavy rain! Lightning is frequent too with a flash every 20-30 seconds.

    Just had some light rain here with really large drops. Sounded loud against the skylight window. No lightning or thunder though.

    Was the precip meant to move back south again? Or is it just going to keep streaming up from the SE?

    Very heavy snow here! Probably an 8/10. Had 1cm in the last half hour.

    just ran the radar forward and back and it seems like the snow line has actually moved further north in the last half hour. The snow line is now only just at Birmingham whereas it was a few miles south in the previous radar frame.

    Got a nice light snow shower here. Nice to see, but it's been so warm in the sunshine that it's melting as soon as it hits any surface.

    Sod the snow, I want summer to make an appearance! It's been lovely here in the sunshine, although started off cold today. Can't wait to be able to leave the house without having to dress up in arctic gear

    So depressing, Just 30 miles away here in swindon and we've got rain still, and we are RIGHT on the edge of the precip as you can see from this radar grab. It's all sliding along us rather than into us. Damn it! Still, glad at least someone is having snow out of this, at one point it was looking like nobody was!

    Still just drizzle in swindon so far.

    I can't see how this is going to develop to bring snow to anywhere south of about gloucester. It appears to all be moving away and all showers that were over my area have now dissipated to nothing. If IanF says it will, then I don't doubt him, but I can't see where it's going to come from myself!
