Don't know where abouts you are exactly, but by coate water where I am, it absolutely tipped it down! -
God damn it, everything has literally JUST missed Swindon by a whisker. We've had drizzle and are now in a big gap which looks like we'll stay in for the rest of the night. Oh well, hope everyone else is enjoying it!

Well by the look of the radar, there's a cell approaching swindon which will hit around 8:30. I'm going to be out picking up my missus at that time so I'll report back with any interesting developments!

I work in Westbury and if it's still anything like it was earlier, I don't blame you for going out there! Bloody sweltering it was!

Had a lightning strike just outside swindon about 20 minutes ago. Really bright and loud thunder. Has been picked up on the isle of wight lightning detector as the only strike on mainland uk so far http://www.isleofwightweather.co.uk/live_storm_data.htm I think I got really lucky! -

According to the radar we had a storm over us with lightning at about 2:40am. No chance of me being up at that time! Oh well, onto the next time! -

Just thought I'd go out and take some pictures of my pond. Even though it has a small fountain and therefore, moving water, it's still freezing over to about 2cm thick ice! Interestingly, around the fountain, the water is bubbling up against the edge of the ice, causing ice to form upwards away from the surface of the water. -

If I recall, this is EXACTLY what was forecast back in 2009 when we had almost a foot of snow dumped on us. It was forecast to be heavy snow and then rain, but it just kept snowing and snowing and none of the models saw it. So don't write it off yet! It could be awesome! -

Got nothing here in swindon haha. Oh well, it was never really forecast to come this far in the first place so the fact that I actually saw a few flakes is good enough. Those who are getting a decent amount, enjoy it! Here's to the next lot! -

Got some EXTREMELY tiny flakes blowing around in the wind here. But they're sparse, like I saw 2 in twenty seconds.
