  1. Pressure now at 989.9mb and still dropping fast at 2.5mb/hr, Temp at 9.6 Dp 8.5, Rain 7.2mm, sustained wind has dropped back a bit to 10.4mph max gust still 30.4mph at 18:47

  4. Been looking forward to tonight and maybe Friday but that's still up in the air at the moment. Will be reporting conditions from my location through the evening, I'm a little sheltered and about 10 miles inland from the South coast but will hopefully get some interesting readings. currently: pressure 996.2mb falling fast, temp 9.0c steady, dp 7.7, rain 2.1mm moderate, wind 13.0mph average 27.3 gust
  5. Looking on sat24 there is some nice stormed traveling up the west coast of France and some nice big mushrooms exploding down on the bay of biscay :-)
  6. Well after the small thunderstorm over Dorset the sun is out with bright blue sky that will hopefully get things going this afternoon. Wasn't expecting much today so even a couple of rumbles before the afternoon was nice.
  7. I counted 5 strikes over me with a 20min deluge of rain, starting to move away and brighten up again now. Hopefully some more later.
  8. Yep can confirm a nice thunder storm over me near Dorchester, 4 good flashes and rummbles so far :-)
  9. A few light showers this morning and now turbulent looking sky here in Dorset, fingers crossed.
  10. I take it all the negativity is very IMBY, just looked at the NMM and thats looking quite juicy for Kent and the S/E over night and into tomorrow morning, think I'll head in that direction

Well I've got all batteries charged, laptop and laptop holder fitted, mobile internet dongle sorted with Netweather V5 radar , satnav, strikealert,, camera, camcorder, my HTC phone with mobile broadband as a back up, and a tank full of fuel and a packed lunch I'm travelling from Dorset and hoping to cover the whole of the south coast from here heading East as far as Kent if needs be to catch any MCS moving out of France in the evening and through the night as I have booked Tuesday off work. Hoping to get on the road about 17:00ish after work tomorrow, going to be glued to the forums and charts tonight in case things change, hopefully also have my brother along for navigation. Any advice on better location or plans welcome and hope to see any other chasers out and about

  17. These storms are just getting boring and disruptive, this is the 5th this weekend lol. Some nice heavy convective rain coming from the cell going over North Dorset, rumble of thunder heard but no lightning observed Nice cloud formations and lots of low hanging scud.

  19. im out chasing tonight, sat up on bullburrow hill with a 20 mile view and I'm surrounded by lightning flashes, lovely forks in the distance.
  20. The Strkealert just picked up its first strike 24-40 miles away from me in Dorset. breeze is starting to pick up ans cloud increasing from the south, temp 21.9c HAPPY DAYS
  21. Warnings now out for the South West, More heavy rain!! Heavy Rain 2300 Fri 7 0600 Sat 8 Heavy rain will spread from the southwest for the rest of tonight giving totals of 20 to 25mm in places.   24. Well hopefully I'll not have to go to far for a chase if there are any storms about today and hopefully get some nice pics if any storms develop on the coast this evening
