A bunch of telephone boxing idiots on surfboards...they deserve to be killed.

I hope they don't think they will be rescued, I certainly wouldn't but my life on the line to rescue them.

They don't think of the lives they endanger when people try to rescue them.

Probably because we'll never have anything as destructive as this to contend with!

Doesn't matter what station I watch over there for various storms but they are all far better than anything over here. We don't have all these doppler radars though that they use for zooming into areas.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yeah you'd have thougt when they changed to the new graphics that they'd have incorporated a doppler radar - but no :/

Anyone feel that this might not be the last big storm we compare to the 'greats' this year? Got a feeling this is just a tale of what's to come...

Yes, I think we might see more of the same this year IceMan, "feels" that kind of year.

Well you have to remember we have had all these strong storms already and have only just reached the point of the season that is usually the most active. :):)

Strange, the mini-obs aren't working for that plane. The NOAA ones are working though.

Edit - Ah using the NHC header even though the data is from the NOAA plane.

Totaly off topic but is there a reason for the high winds here tonite??

of around 8mph???

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Hi Matty,

Yes very windy here in Dublin.

My station has recorded a high of 26mph within the last 10 minutes.

See i told you all so oil prices up and we will end up paying more for our petrol because of this storm so get your cans an fill up cause if petrol goes up much more i can see some fanatics causing a revolt like the last petrol shortage. Better safe than sorry.

Is it starting to weaken means pressure is rising? Or is it parts of a ERC?

How longs does a ERC take?
