A few pics from the snow squall that came through the other day. 10-15cm’s quite quickly depending on where in Town you are.

More snow overnight and this morning with overnight lows of minus 23. ❄️

postponed a trip to our Calgary office today..but actually it looks like the roads are pretty clear and snow is less than expected.

Standard chilly Rockies weather 😁❄️Dangerously cold weather on the way though. Minus 40’s!

And weather warnings for almost all of the Alberta.

This is the only time I am cautious and and take it seriously. I’ve walked back from the pub in this weather. I wouldn’t recommend it. 🥶

Yeah think we had it early then it moved east mid morning. Enough to cause disruption. Now the real cold sets in. This is when I genuinely dislike the weather

As mentioned above Vancouver getting unusually cold and snowy weather impacting outdoors events and flights, from an arctic outflow.

That arctic air is being felt in Alberta. It’s cold. Currently minus 42 windchill 🥶

Extreme cold warning and possible frostbite in minutes.

Impressive cold air temps and dew points though. 

Hopefully warming up just in time for Christmas.

Don't you guys suffer with burst pipes with that kinda cold?.. We have quite a few from the cold last week.

When it’s unusually cold like this then yes. I’ve had it happen at my rental place. 

Lots of issues in the city at the moment...

I remember once the municipal building downtown Canmore had burst pipes and most of downtown got flooded and it froze. Absolute mayhem

The Pineapple express is certainly giving it what for.

A friend of mine in SFO reported 5.46" of rainfall, the map shows it's localisation
