UK Outlook for Sunday 23 May 2010 to Tuesday 1 Jun 2010:

Southern areas should be dry and very warm on Sunday, but cooler weather with a few showers is likely to spread down across northern, and later, central parts of the UK. This will eventually reach most areas by Monday. From then on, a good deal of dry weather is likely in all parts, but the greatest risk of rain or showers is expected in northern and northeastern areas. The driest and brightest conditions should persist in southern and western parts. After the very warm start in the south, temperatures should be mainly near normal, but occasionally rather cool in northern and eastern parts, and sometimes locally warm in the west and south. Some chilly nights are possible, with occasional ground frosts in the north overnight.

Cloudy with occasional rain or showers in northern and eastern parts on Monday, with a risk of isolated, possibly thundery showers in central, southern and eastern areas. From then on, a good deal of dry weather is likely in most parts, but there is a risk of occasional showers in northern and northeastern areas, whilst southwestern parts see the best of the sunshine. Still very warm and muggy in the south to begin with next week, but temperatures otherwise mainly near or just above normal and feeling pleasantly warm in sunshine and occasionally rather cool in northern and eastern parts. UK Outlook for Saturday 29 May 2010 to Monday 7 Jun 2010:

Probably rather showery on Saturday, with showers most frequent in the east, and drier, brighter weather in the west. These drier and brighter conditions should spread to most parts on Sunday, but outbreaks of rain may reach western parts. From Monday onwards, it is likely to be unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain, these mainly in the west and it may be quite windy across northwestern parts of the UK. However, some drier and brighter interludes are likely, especially in eastern and southern parts. Temperatures should be around normal but rather cool at first in the northeast, then possibly becoming warm at times in the east. The last few days of the period should see temperatures near or slightly above normal, with some good dry spells.

UK Outlook for Sunday 30 May 2010 to Tuesday 8 Jun 2010:

Mainly dry with bright spells for many on Sunday, although southern parts may have occasional rain. Cloudier conditions may spread from the west later with further spells of rain, and these are expected to last through Monday morning. However, it should become drier from the northwest in the afternoon, with occasional showers. These brighter spells and scattered showers are likely to become increasingly confined to northern and northwestern parts of the UK towards the end of the week and throughout the rest of the period. Further south and east, drier and sunnier conditions are expected with occasional showers at times. Winds should be light to moderate, but may be strong across northwestern parts of the UK. Temperatures near normal for northern and some western parts, but warmer across southeastern parts.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 1 Jun 2010 to Thursday 10 Jun 2010:

Tuesday will probably still be rather unsettled with outbreaks of rain in places, this locally heavy. It will then become increasingly drier and brighter through Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure builds, bringing settled conditions to all areas. Mist and fog patches are possible around the coasts, whilst northwestern parts may remain on the cloudier side with perhaps some rain, but elsewhere increasing amounts of sunshine. Temperatures will be near or slightly above normal initially before becoming warm and rather humid by Thursday. Fine and warm weather is expected to continue into the weekend with warm or very warm temperatures, ahead of a likely thundery breakdown early the following week. There are then indications that the weather will remain unsettled and cooler towards the end of the period.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 2 Jun 2010 to Friday 11 Jun 2010:

Northwestern parts will be on the cloudier side on Wednesday with rain at times by Thursday, but elsewhere dry, warm and sunny conditions are expected as pressure starts to build. This persists through Thursday and Friday with perhaps some short-lived morning mist and also localised coastal fog. Over the weekend there is an increased risk of cloud and occasional rain in some northern and western parts, but eastern and southern parts should stay warm, dry and bright. Looking further ahead into the following week the trend is for warm or very warm, humid weather and some sunny spells, but also for a more unsettled period with showery outbreaks of rain in many areas, these perhaps heavy and thundery at times.

UK Outlook for Thursday 3 Jun 2010 to Saturday 12 Jun 2010:

Cloudy with rain at times in northern and western parts, the rain spreading erratically southeastwards through Thursday and Friday, but southern and eastern parts should remain largely dry and warm with brighter intervals. Sunny spells and scattered showers are expected through the weekend, these may be on the heavier side from time to time with a risk of thunder. It is likely to feel warm in the sunshine but sea breezes will keep it slightly cooler around the coasts. The trend for the end of the period continues in a similar vein with sunshine and showers. The showers may be heavy in nature at times with perhaps some thunder around too. It is likely to continue to feel warm in the sunnier periods.

UK Outlook for Sunday 6 Jun 2010 to Tuesday 15 Jun 2010:

Conditions will turn unsettled and cooler from the west through the course of Sunday and Monday with showers or longer spells of rain, locally heavy and thundery, spreading across the UK. Some southern and eastern parts may well hang on to warmer, brighter conditions through much of Sunday though. This generally unsettled theme then persists for the rest of the period with most places seeing further showers or outbreaks of rain, and again these are likely to be heavy and, perhaps, thundery in places but there will also be some drier and brighter intervals. Temperatures next week are likely to remain near or just above normal for the time of year, with some southern and eastern parts becoming warm at times though.

UK Outlook for Monday 7 Jun 2010 to Wednesday 16 Jun 2010:

The weather will be unsettled on Monday and Tuesday, with showers and longer periods of rain spreading eastwards across the UK. Some of the rain is will be heavy and perhaps thundery but there will be some drier and sunnier interludes. Southern and western areas perhaps more likely to be affected by the heavier outbreaks of rain. This generally unsettled theme then persists for the rest of the period with many places seeing further showers or outbreaks of rain, some heavy and thundery but also some drier and brighter intervals. Temperatures next week are likely to fall back to near normal for the time of year in any sunnier periods, but periods of more persistent rain have the potential to limit temperatures to the cool category.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 8 Jun 2010 to Thursday 17 Jun 2010:

Most parts will see rather unsettled conditions with showers or longer spells of rain, which may be heavy and thundery at times. Some drier and brighter weather is likely at times too, with the best of this in the far northwest. It should become less unsettled later in the week, particularly across west and southwestern parts of the UK, but remain rather showery further east. Winds may be strong at times, particularly in the north or northeast later, and temperatures should remain near normal but cooler at times in any rain or showers. For the rest of the period, there is a chance of high pressure taking charge, but still with the risk of some more unsettled spells. Temperatures may start to recover a little above normal.

UK Outlook for Thursday 10 Jun 2010 to Saturday 19 Jun 2010:

Still mainly unsettled at first, with some persistent rain, which could be slow to clear the southern and eastern parts, whilst drier and brighter conditions can be expected further north and west with a just few showers. Temperatures near or a little below normal, and feeling chilly with a brisk northeast wind on exposed eastern coasts. Remaining unsettled into the weekend, especially in more central and northern parts, with rain or showers at times mixed with brighter interludes, and temperatures staying near or below average. Winds may be breezy at times on exposed coasts. The best of any dryness perhaps in the southwest. Staying fairly unsettled at the start of the following week, but probably becoming drier, brighter and warmer in the south later.

UK Outlook for Sunday 13 Jun 2010 to Tuesday 22 Jun 2010:

Most areas are likely to see some sunny spells on Sunday and Monday and it should be mostly dry, with the main chance of showers in the south, southeast and also the far north. This pattern is likely to continue for the rest of the period, although perhaps with a slightly greater risk of heavy rain or showers in the south and southeast. There are some signs that it may become more unsettled toward the end of the period with an increasing chance of rain in the north and northwest. Most areas will be generally dry with bright or sunny spells at first, despite a low risk of rain in the southeast. More cloud is expected for the far north of Scotland with occasional rain or showers. This will gradually spread southwards, reaching Northern England and Wales by Saturday and bringing a risk of some rain or showers here also. From then on, indications suggest generally settled weather towards the south and east, with a higher chance of cloud and showery rain further north and west. Winds are expected to be generally light or moderate throughout, though perhaps fresh or strong at times in the north. Temperatures look to be around or slightly below average, but becoming rather warm in sunny periods in the south later.

UK Outlook for Thursday 17 Jun 2010 to Saturday 26 Jun 2010:

It should be mainly dry with variable cloud and some sunshine for most of the UK at first, although northern parts may be a little cloudier with occasional rain. There is also a very low risk that thundery rain could spread into the far southeast of England initially. Over next weekend, England and Wales should see plenty of sunshine with the odd heavy shower possible in the southeast. Elsewhere, it should also start mainly dry and bright, but become increasingly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, perhaps spreading southwards later. For the rest of the period, dry and fine conditions in southern regions are likely to be gradually replaced with a mixture of sunny spells and rain or showers affecting most parts. Temperatures near normal but feeling warmer in prolonged sunshine.

UK Outlook for Monday 21 Jun 2010 to Wednesday 30 Jun 2010:

Most areas of the UK should remain largely dry throughout next week with some decent sunny periods at times. Northern and northwestern areas are likely to be cloudiest and are more likely to see occasional rain, although there will be plenty of dry and bright weather too. Although most other places will be mainly dry, isolated light showers may develop at times. Temperatures should be near normal throughout much of the period, and it should feel pleasantly warm in any prolonged periods of sunshine, but will feel cooler on the coasts.
