UK Outlook for Thursday 24 Jun 2010 to Saturday 3 Jul 2010:

Rather unsettled with rain or showers, especially for northern and western areas at first, but this risk extending to many other areas by the weekend, the showers thundery in places. The best of any sunshine is expected for southern and eastern parts. Into the following week, the mainly unsettled theme continues, with much of the country seeing a chance of showers, and maybe some more prolonged rain, more likely towards the northwest. Temperatures on the warm side for many at first and locally very warm for southeast England. However, nearer normal temperatures expected in wetter conditions and along coasts, where there is a risk of sea breezes developing at times. Indications suggest that temperatures will probably decline to near normal for much of the UK into the start of July.

UK Outlook for Saturday 26 Jun 2010 to Monday 5 Jul 2010:

Saturday should be fine, very warm and sunny in many places, although perhaps cooler and cloudier on some eastern coasts. However, from Sunday and into Monday there's an increasing risk of showers or thundery rain extending north-eastwards across the country, although it could stay very warm, locally hot inland. Next week should be less settled than this week, with some rain or showers, but driest in the south and east. Many places will probably stay warm, perhaps very warm, with a small chance of hot conditions persisting. The start of July looks somewhat unsettled at times and perhaps breezy. but with the driest conditions still in the south and east. Temperatures should be mainly near normal, but occasionally warm in the south and east.

UK Outlook for Sunday 27 Jun 2010 to Tuesday 6 Jul 2010:

Sunday should be fine, very warm and sunny in central and eastern parts, but with an increasing risk of showers or thunderstorms, already in some western areas, extending northeastwards to other areas by Monday. It should stay warm or very warm, with a chance of locally hot conditions persisting in the southeast, but cooler in the northwest. For the rest of next week it looks like becoming much more unsettled generally, with the possibility of some very windy weather for a time in the northwest of the UK. However, there will still be drier and brighter interludes, especially in the south and east. Temperatures should fall back to nearer normal, but occasionally warm in the south and east. These more unsettled conditions will probably last into the following week.

UK Outlook for Saturday 3 Jul 2010 to Monday 12 Jul 2010:

For much of the period, the northwest of the UK looks to be fairly unsettled with rain or showers, some heavy at times, although tending to fragment as they move southeastwards. The best of the dry and sunny weather should remain in southern and eastern parts, although the far southeast may see thundery showers at times, namely over the first weekend and later during the week. Winds will become strong at times across the northwest. Towards the end of the period, there is a signal for more settled weather to extend further north. Temperatures will generally be above average across all parts, with some southern and eastern areas becoming very warm at times. A low risk of very high temperatures for the far southeast early in the period.

UK Outlook for Sunday 4 Jul 2010 to Tuesday 13 Jul 2010:

Northwestern areas look to set to remain relatively unsettled throughout the period with rain or showers at times and often fresh or strong winds. However, some sunnier spells are also expected, especially to the lee of high ground. Further southeast, a more settled theme looks likely with more in the way of sunshine and lighter winds, and a lower chance of seeing rain or showers, although some are possible at times. There is however a possibility of some thundery rain spreading from the south during the middle part of next week. Temperatures look to be around normal for many northern areas, but warm elsewhere and possibly very warm in the south and southeast at first, and maybe again towards the end of the period.
