Sorry I nerver updated this on sat I been busy

UK Outlook for Friday 26 Feb 2010 to Sunday 7 Mar 2010:

Outbreaks of heavy rain in the south on Friday are likely to turn to snow in places from about the Midlands northwards. However, it should be mainly fine in the Northwest, with this drier and brighter weather moving southwards on Saturday to give a better day. The rest of the period is expected to remain unsettled with further rain at times in the south, but again this is likely to turn to snow from about the Midlands northwards. Some dry and brighter spells are also likely, but with frost overnight. Later in the period it could become generally drier and brighter. Temperatures throughout this period are likely to be rather cold across Central and Northern parts with often sharp overnight frosts, but near normal temperatures at times in the south.

UK Outlook for Saturday 27 Feb 2010 to Monday 8 Mar 2010:

Rain or snow in the east on Saturday should soon clear, most parts then having sunny spells with showers, wintry in northern and central parts. Wet and windy weather is expected to spread into the south during Sunday, which should move northwards and perhaps turn to snow. The far north should stay bright with a few wintry showers. The rest of the period is likely to continue unsettled and windy at times, with occasional heavy rain especially for the south and southwest. There is a continued risk of this turning to snow from about the Midlands northwards. Some dry and brighter spells are also likely, particularly later in the period. Temperatures throughout should be cold or rather cold, but near normal at times in the south.

UK Outlook for Sunday 28 Feb 2010 to Tuesday 9 Mar 2010:

A very unsettled start with wet and very windy weather expected to spread northwards across much of Britain during Sunday, bringing heavy rain to some regions and snow to more northern parts. The far north may stay bright with some wintry showers. The rest of the period is likely to continue fairly unsettled and windy at times, with occasional heavy rain, especially for southwestern Britain. There is a continued risk of this turning to snow from about the Midlands northwards. Some dry and brighter spells are also likely, particularly in the east. There is a possiblility of the drier conditions in the east extending westwards later. Temperatures throughout should be cold or rather cold with night frosts, but near normal at times in the south.

UK Outlook for Monday 1 Mar 2010 to Wednesday 10 Mar 2010:

The far north should be bright for a few days with some late winter sunshine, but also some wintry showers, especially near windward coasts. Overnight, expect some severe frosts, especially over deep snow cover in inland glens. Otherwise, this period is expected to be unsettled and windy at times, with further spells of rain, some of this heavy especially for southwestern Britain. There is a continued risk of snow from about the Midlands northwards with further significant falls possible across northern hills especially. Some drier and brighter spells are expected at times, and a trend to drier and more settled conditions is expected later. However, it is expected to remain cold, especially in the north.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 2 Mar 2010 to Thursday 11 Mar 2010:

The far north should be mostly dry and bright at the start of this period, with some late winter sunshine, but also with wintry showers, mainly near windward coasts. Severe frosts are also likely overnight over deep snow cover in inland glens. Elsewhere this period is expected to start unsettled and rather windy at times, with further spells of rain, mainly over central and southern parts, with perhaps some heavy rain over southwestern Britain. There is a continued risk of snow from the hills of northern England northwards. Some drier and brighter spells are expected at times, and with a general trend to drier and more settled but cold conditions expected later in the week. Indications are that this type of weather will then persist into the following week.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 3 Mar 2010 to Friday 12 Mar 2010:

The north is expected to be mostly dry, bright but cold with night frosts on Wednesday, with wintry showers affecting coasts in the far northeast. Elsewhere, this period is expected to start unsettled and rather windy, with further spells of rain, especially over the south and west, and perhaps some central areas, with sleet or snow on high ground. Confidence is now quite high for a general change to drier, more settled but cold conditions by the end of the week. This means that wintry showers will affect more eastern and perhaps some central parts of the U.K. at times. Indications are that this type of mainly dry but cold weather will then persist for much of the following week, although the far southwest could see some rain at times.

UK Outlook for Thursday 4 Mar 2010 to Saturday 13 Mar 2010:

The period is expected to start quite unsettled and rather windy, particularly around exposed coasts. Further spells of rain are likely, especially over the south and west, and perhaps some central areas, with sleet or snow on high ground from Wales northwards. From the weekend (Saturday 6th), rain, sleet and snow showers are expected, with snow particularly over hills but also at lower levels in the east. Some bright or clear spells are likely too, with the best of these mainly in the northwest. It is likely to remain windy at times, with rather cold temperatures rather and overnight frost and ice. Indications are that this mixture of wintry showers, bright spells and cold weather may then persist for much of the rest of the period.

UK Outlook for Friday 5 Mar 2010 to Sunday 14 Mar 2010:

Quite unsettled and rather windy at first, particularly around exposed coasts. Spells of rain are likely, especially over southern parts, and perhaps some central areas, with outbreaks of sleet or snow on high ground from Wales northwards. Drier and clearer weather is expected over the far north of Scotland, spreading slowly southwards during the weekend to leave cloud and showery rain mainly confined to the south of England. From Monday (8th), drier weather is expected for many areas of the UK, with rain, sleet and snow showers mainly across northern Scotland and eastern parts of England on a cold and brisk northeasterly wind. Temperatures are likely to be rather cold with overnight frost. There are sings of more unsettled weather returning to many parts by the end of the period.

UK Outlook for Saturday 6 Mar 2010 to Monday 15 Mar 2010:

Although a weakening band of rain and sleet with hill snow is expected to spread southwestwards across the UK on Saturday, much of the week is expected to be dominated by an area of high pressure. This will give predominantly dry and settled weather with often sunny days but cold and frosty nights. Some wintry showers at times near North Sea coasts, and across southeastern areas of England as well but amounts of snow are expected to be mainly small. Temperatures still rather cold with sharp overnight frosts although for much of the time winds will be light. The trend for the following week is towards more unsettled, wetter and windier weather. Although less cold conditions should spread to southern areas, the cold weather may persist in the far north.

UK Outlook for Sunday 7 Mar 2010 to Tuesday 16 Mar 2010:

On Sunday and Monday high pressure is expected to persist, being centred across Scotland, although with the risk of a few sleet or snow showers affecting eastern, and perhaps southern areas. Many places will be dry and bright with a northeasterly breeze. Temperatures will still feel rather cold overnight with widespread and locally sharp frosts, although with some pleasant sunshine likely by day. This pattern is forecast to continue through the latter part of the week. There looks like being a change of weather type over the weekend and for the start of the following week with a more southwesterly flow and periods of rain, although perhaps drier in southeast. Temperatures are forecast to turn milder in the south, but still feeling cold at times in the north.

UK Outlook for Monday 8 Mar 2010 to Wednesday 17 Mar 2010:

On Monday and Tuesday, settled conditions look set to continue but it is likely to be cloudy at times across parts of the far north, as well as some eastern and southern areas with a few, occasionally wintry, showers. Otherwise, there should be a good deal of dry and fair weather but temperatures will be rather cold for most with overnight frost and fog patches. Winds should be mainly light but perhaps strong at times across the far south. Towards the latter part of the week the settled trend is expected to continue with a gradually reducing risk of showers. Around next weekend a change in the weather pattern looks likely, bringing near normal temperatures and an increasing risk of wet and windy weather, especially for the north and west.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 9 Mar 2010 to Thursday 18 Mar 2010:

Through next week settled weather is expected to continue with a good deal of fine and dry weather for most. There will be variable amounts of cloud though, which is likely to be thickest across eastern coastal areas at times where a few showers are likely, perhaps turning wintry over hills. Temperatures will be mostly rather cold with overnight frosts and also some fog patches. Winds should be mainly light although may be strong around English Channel coasts and the far north at first. Around next weekend a change in the weather pattern looks likely with more changeable conditions moving across the northwest bringing a return to near-normal temperatures. Then towards the end of the period more unsettled weather is likely to gradually spread across the bulk of the UK.

UK Outlook for Saturday 13 Mar 2010 to Monday 22 Mar 2010:

High pressure to the west of the UK should bring largely dry but often quite cloudy conditions to most places at first. There will be some sunshine but also overnight frost and fog where skies clear. There is also a chance of showers affecting some places. The weather becomes more unsettled during the following week and most places are likely to see some rain, possibly falling as snow over hills in the north. The best of any dry and bright weather is expected across the south and east later, but elsewhere further rain is likely. It is likely to become windier, with a chance of gales in exposed places. Temperatures rather cold at first but increasing to near normal in most places, with frost becoming less likely later.

Rain may then spread to northwestern parts on Monday (15th) with unsettled conditions spreading to many other parts during the week. Snow is possible over hills in the north. Towards the end of the period there is a signal for conditions to become drier in the south and east, but continue unsettled in northern and western parts. It may also be windy at times with gales in exposed coastal areas. Temperatures mostly near normal, perhaps becoming rather warm in the south and east later.

Thursday (18th) looks likely to be generally dry and some sunshine is likely in the east. However wet and windy weather is expected to arrive during Thursday night and Friday, with heavy rain likely in some western areas. During the first weekend conditions are likely to be unsettled with either showers or longer spells of rain, although by the following week eastern areas may have become more settled again. Then during the first half of the week an occasionally unsettled and mainly southwesterly airflow is likely to bring further rain or showers at times, although later in the week and into the second weekend conditions should become more settled again. UK Outlook for Friday 19 Mar 2010 to Sunday 28 Mar 2010:

On Friday 19th we are expecting heavy rain and strong winds to spread to most parts, with some locally large accumulations in the west. Brighter, showery conditions are expected to follow on Saturday. Then on Sunday and into the first part of the following week it is currently expected that it will remain unsettled with either showers or longer spells of rain, with the wettest conditions tending to favour northwestern areas and the best of any drier, brighter weather most likely in the southeast. Then later in the week and into the following weekend we can expect generally unsettled conditions, more so in the north and west. The temperature will probably be mostly around normal for March, but perhaps becoming cold enough at times for snow on northern hills.
