Brilliant blue sky here.

Mustn't get too downhearted, chaps. It wasn't going to be for us until tomorrow/Tuesday anyway, was it?

See how I'm trying to keep the old morale up? :good:

Anyone know a snow-dance?

The main showers are not likely to come here until tonight anyway, and the occlusion is still likely to come here for tomororw night and may well stick around for a while.

Looking at the UKMO precipitation charts, whihc the BBC forecast are based on.

http://www.meteociel.com/modeles/ukmo/precipitations/6h.htm

Here is a summary based on what they show.

7am tomorrow light showrs, sub 528 Dam

1pm tomorrow moderate showers, sub 528 Dam

7pm tomorrow moderate showers,/persistent snow sub 528 Dam

1am Tuesday moderate snow for South Wales and SW England, heavier snow for much of Wales

1pm Tuesday lunchtime, a new area of heavy snow for SW Wales and SW England.

At all times with sub 528 air, so the snow is coming this way, maybe not quite as heavy as elsewhere, but with the advantage that it is likely to stay as snow.

Snow amounts 2-4 inches is very possible in places, maybe more in places but some may get less.

Plenty of precipition too on teh GFs and also laragely of snow.

looking forward UKMO/ECM look promising for a N/NE blast to follow although doubts a bouts its length.

This was my summary from the charts earlier and nothing has changed, we rmaining in the high risk areas, will do a further update after tonight charts.

No flakes here, just a holwing easterly wind temp has dropped over the past hour or so, not got any higher than 2c all day, its 1.7c now. The seafront in covered in foam from the sea and its blowing about wildley so it looks abit like snow.

Does anybody think we will get any of that persistant snow on mon night into tuesday, also i've noticed south wales and south west england have a warning for snow on thursday.

Looks like the MetO have updated their forecast for the SW again, although it doesn't look much different to me?

your right however that occlusion looks like getting wales but not somerset, looks like we could be last no snow zone after south wales gets it?

Looking at the past 2 GFS runs, Cornwall is likely to get snow tomorrow evening, maybe not massively heavy, but still steady and persistent.

A high of -1.2C here today... Guess thats what comes from sitting at 900feet on a NE facing hill, the wind has been howling today, there are some dark clouds to the east, but beyond them its looking clear.

I guess everyone has given up already.

Can't blame you, looks like nothing is coming this way today or tonight.

Maybe something tomorrow.
