Does anyone have an idea what the possible situation could be like at Gatwick come 6am tomorrow. I'm flying in from the states and am only too aware how quickly 4 flakes of snow can shut an airport. Cheers

You could be OK at 6am, it'll be mostly showers overnight and the main snow event arriving about noon. I'm sure an international airport can cope with a few snow showers

That flurry is over but we've got a dusting.

...and the Buntingford Crew!

It lasted about 10 minutes, but was almost the heaviest snow I have ever seen!

Was a complete whiteout for a time.

Similar to what I got, certainly nowhere near the heaviest I've seen, but the flake size were moderate and very dry. Now clear with a slight covering.

Cheers Tommy thats great news thanks for that. As much as I'd like to see the conditions here back home I'd prefer if it could hold off until 7!

so, with the wind direction changing does that mean that Ashford will now miss out on the heavy snow. ANYONE!!!!!

This seems so strange that all around us in a arc from folkestone through canterbury to herne bay has varying amounts of snow and yet we have next to nothing apart from a few flakes . I would be happy with just .5cm
