Wow not bad for Somerset!

About as much here, maybe a little less. Can't imagine how good 6 inches or a foot looks like if this is only around 2-3 inches!

Still snowing! Looks like such a great snowy scene. :cold:

So much better than 3 months of mild south-westerlies with a 12 hour northerly once in a while! This is a proper winter!

Well the stuff moving into Exeter (red echoes on radar) is looking heavy. All depends whether it gets to you as snow. Temps aloft, DPs and rising ground temps and sun will all affect this later in the morning. Time for bed I'd suggest. But what a great night. :yahoo:

Still dumping it down here. I must be right at the extreme W edge of that ppn. Hoping it will just keep sliding up against my area and keep it like this for an hour or so more.

about 2 inches here now - looks soon to be over but better than Monday for sure.

i don't think it is over just look to the south west it is moving in slightly ne direction and ppn area is expanding and getting intense.

I don't think there is threat of rain for a while round our area and bristol - temp is down to -0.9c so its actually been getting colder.

Looks that way to me (but what do I know?) I think it will bring rain to marginal areas possibly anywhere south of Bristol. Anywhere a bit further north has more chance of keeping it snow. I'm hoping we can keep this snow tomorrow in Bristol. I was just unsure all the time about the 850s. But the snow tonight has made me much more positive

Plus, of course, if like mullender is reporting, the temps further south are encouraging. Then that is encouraging for everybody!!

Excellent! Enjoy the snow!

I heard a neighbour down the street letting out her cat into the back garden and her exclamation of surprise was very audible LOL!!!
