How much up the cotswolds then?

I live on the edge and we have about 4 inches but further east/NE it might be worse.

We have about 3/4 inches here in south pembrokeshire - blizzard like conditions during the early hours. Total balls up by the met office as they removed all weather warnings for this part of Wales.

sorry i meant 3 to 4 inches

I don't recall seeing any warnings for your area?

A fresh 3 inches overnight and flurrying still now.

Temp is -0.3c and has been down to -0.8c : I seem to recall the forecast yesterday evening said it would be up to about +2c by now so the weather's winning!

Yep - Well done Richard Angwin who called it spot on whereas the national forecast was suggesting sleet / rain

Off to work now on the plains - could take a while !

Level 10cms on my patio table this morning, in the range of what was forecast by met office for here so well done them!

Largest lying amount since 1991!

Another shower just started but its looking a bit sleety.

Hi all, About 2cms here in South Wales and lightly snowing still. Is this it?? Or is there any more to come?

It did seem to hit us later than progged - it started snowing properly at 05.30

WOW! WOW! We've got 12 cm of snow here! :D Never seen so much snow and its starting to chuck it down again. School is DEFINATELY closed today! No buses running in S.Gloucs. A few cars on the main road but MUCH quieter than usual. Its going to take days to get rid of this snow but make the most of it today. Might not get this kind of snowfall for another 18yrs!

But then could it be the start of a trend of cold winters?

Nearly 3cm here and currently snowing. I tell you though, the UKMO radar is useless in these situations. School closed today so that's a bonus, apparently Bristol has been hit harder than here.

Sure has Michael. About 4 inches in my back garden

Still snowing very very lightly; but feels slightly warmer so i reckon will turn sleety.

I think to our east and north into cotswolds got hit harder.

I reckon this is the best snowfall in BTL since Feb 1995. But still not a patch on 87, 84, 81 or 78/79.

Got a couple of cm overnight, my school has shut for the 3rd day this week and I'm not even there! Getting home should be fun tomorrow.

Well I've had about five minutes of drizzle here but now its snowing big flakes again. The driveway opposite that had two clear patches from cars gone is now rapidly filling up again. The sky also looks dark to the south.

Heavy in Cardiff at the moment I've been told. No idea what direction it's taking.

Looks like it all fell from the Mendips Northwards. Only about 30 miles N of me.

So close :yahoo:

Only had a very brief shower yesterday evening that left the slightest dusting on dry surfaces.

Hoping for something from the returning front tonight but that looks like it will only be for Dorset/Hampshire Eastwards. It's so frustrating!

Excellent. We just need some more heavy stuff here as it seems to be very light here. If it's snowing properly in Weston then it should be getting here pretty soon.
