About 4cm here now. Snowing heavy/mod.

Must get some sleep, but I'm finding it hard to resist looking out the window!

I know! And to think that we were forecast sleet/rain

Never expected this!

Exactly! 12 hours ago i was downbeat as anything, expecting maybe snow to quickly to turn rain!

I think i'll call it a night

G'night! Enjoy the snow

So beautiful in our garden at the moment!! It's about 2 inches or so deep, and still falling moderately. More blizzards coming up from Devon soon!

Hi Guys,

S/East Wales now getting bad - just arrived with me about 20 minutes ago and it is an absolute whiteout !

I had given up thinking it was not coming- but it's here.

Accumulating slowly and more to come till midday possibly.

A fresh 3 inches overnight and flurrying still now.

Temp is -0.3c and has been down to -0.8c : I seem to recall the forecast yesterday evening said it would be up to about +2c by now so the weather's winning!

Can't wait for daylight soon!

Just got up and we have above 4 inches of snow here in north bristol. Looks beautiful out there. My walk to work will be a joy this morning!

Did get up at 3.30 to have a look outside and was amazed! It was chucking it down and we'd already had 3 inches I reckon.

Anymore to come guys?

Amazing to think that 12 hours ago it was forecast to go north and not really come to much here. I see even further south you've had snow.

Don't you just love the surprises the British weather throws up!? :cold:

Just been out to measure the depth -- about 6.5 cms, so nearly 3 inches. I think that equals the most snow I've ever seen in Cheltenham, at least since I can remember.

Nearly 3cm here and currently snowing. I tell you though, the UKMO radar is useless in these situations. School closed today so that's a bonus, apparently Bristol has been hit harder than here.

Well what a rollacoaster night for Bridgend, woke at 4am and nothing, was gutted that no snow had fallen. Woke at 6.50am and snow everywhere.

Anyone know if there is more to come throughout today for South Wales? Are we in for a snow day?
