Have faith. It's not over till the snowman's head falls off :hi:

glad you said that its gonna take a while for my snowmans head to fall its 8feet wide, alot of work hours went into that. lol

Will do mate, gotta keep the fingers crossed for some more of the white stuff really... but that'll be 4 days of being stuck in the village... I may go mad soon!

I'm yet to build one, but there are some awesome ones up in the village, including a HUGE rabbit and the odd Igloo... all very surreal.

Same here although i am gonna drive into bristol for work tomoro. ill be on and off of this site though to see your updates.

Heres hoping then... I guess I can walk to the pub if things get really desperate! :hi:

Edit: I should quantify that I do walk to the pub normally, but its not normally a foot of snow with some ice thrown in for good measure... can be hazardous at the best of times, let alone after a few rounds with miss Tequila.

No its quite simple really what you do is you start of with base of snowman around 8 feet in diameter so you can build steps into the side of it as you build it higher! 14 feet high roughly

If this monday night come of i will re build it and expand width to twice that and try and go alot higher.

Just checked the UKMO website to see the warnings and got very excited to see the whole country covered in orange. One problem though, it looks like heavy RAIN for us in the southwest.

I really do not know who or what to believe now!

Much like the Egyptians did, but using sand instead of snow, it makes good sense really. (assuming you don't have scaffolding)

Nah to late now, I want something more interesting now you left it so late

hmmpf!

really have to find out where the M4 is lol. Nice snowman! Clear here, but cloudy, Only had a couple of sleety showers.

Head roughly east from where you are :D

Had an extra covering of snow on the grass what was showing temp dropped to 0.6c

Went higher up on our ground when the temp was 0.8c here everything was still on the wet side up there the gates had all ice on them that does happen from a south to SE wind, this evening has reminded me yet again of past winters when it turns to drizzle and freezes except it wasn`t today snow grains.!!!!

Currently there is drizzle/sleet and flakes of snow falling 1.1c...Ice hazard in the morning as temps drop later.

Latest blizzard watch,I`m very excited about this. :)

This suggest some heavy snow for much of Wales at Monday 9pm onwards, with much low temps evaporational cooling is a definite possibility.

However it does seem that any rain to snow would early start tuning to snow later on the night.

Thanks! Geography really isn't my strong point. I didn't even know where canada was until I had a canadian friend :) . It still seems like we cold be in with a chance though.

Well, what can I say... bad influence! :)

Jackone: how do you rate the chances of us south westeners seeing any more of the white stuff tmrw?

No kidding, it goes pretty much straight through Bristol en-route from Cardiff to London, but its OK, I had a friend who wasn't aware that Africa was a continent of many countries, and assumed it was just a little to the south of France. ... Which I suppose it is in a sense.
