Update on tonight's charts GFS is in a very similar position to earlier however the UKMO has the precip and milder sector further north.

http://www.meteociel.com/modeles/ukmo/precipitations/6h.htm

Also look at the 850hpa temps

This means that the rain turning to snow event is likely to be delayed for south Wales , but the precipitation will also for longer and it is still likely to turn to snow overnight as colder comes back in.

More snow now likely for north Wales.

Been snowing here moderately on and off since 2pm. Settling well. Have had a a bit of a thaw over the last two days. Went driving around I think the worst hit parts had a 50cm level depth - amazing to see. Broadway tower, cutsdean, snowshill and around the stow tewksbury road... NOt been particularly cold though. The min I've had -4.5C currently 0.2C

We had a period of heavy snow too, left about a 1cm or two around, mainly slush on the main roads, nothing that spectacular here.

It probably added 2-3cm to the already lying snow.

Met Office now has the whole thing yet further north, not looking so good for those in the south now. Seems to be constant downgrades for the last few days.

Don't worry, i doubt they will be wrong now. on the BBC news wales website, theres a warning out for a snowstorm lol transport has been canceled for places such as Rhondda.

I'm just going to wait and see. See what it's like tomorrow lol.

Hmm, I'm still holding on to the hope of the low stalling, and after a few more of these glasses of wine it'll look great either way!

BBC really are a pain. The South Midlands/SW are a region. Herefordshire weather is distinct from WM because of Bredon/Malvern/Clee Hills. :)

Don't pay too much attention to the graphics, they aren't necessarily correct, and considering the BBC last week were saying that Exeter was in Dorset then you have to take everything with a pinch of salt... assuming there is some left of course.

I hope from a weather perspective it is snow and we get a proper blizzard. Looks like it will be rain though.

Will do mate, gotta keep the fingers crossed for some more of the white stuff really... but that'll be 4 days of being stuck in the village... I may go mad soon! :hi:

Have faith. It's not over till the snowman's head falls off

I'm yet to build one, but there are some awesome ones up in the village, including a HUGE rabbit and the odd Igloo... all very surreal. Blue or Red pill?
