Actually I have to agree there, there's nothing like freezing rain.

As for the precip tonight, it looks like it will just about reach the majority of Yorkshire before moving S again - however at the most we can hope for 2cm except in the SE of the region which could see more (e.g. Doncaster).

Shame really that this thread is going to go quiet for a fair while after this I think; no snow events showing up on the 12z and it looks like we may have to wait a while whilst we sit under a cold block. Normality for Paul Tall though, nothing noteworthy.

Im sick of this thread been so quite recentley, i started posting on the east Yorshire thread because of it, hopefully we will get some more chances in the coming days, some one posted a chart for Wednesday morning for chance of snow, any ideas for that one?

The northern extent has pretty much stopped at York in the last two hours but I notice it is beginning to pivot NW, as precipitation is intensifying and moving up the east of York.

I might be ok then Paul, as I'm just to the North East of York. It defenitely looks like it

will reach my location.

You will definitely get something. It won't miss you, whatever it is that gets there.

We have light rain here.

Watching Leeds on TV and no snow at Elland road.

It might now be down there however, it is snowing just a little higher nr Tong, has been for some time, still only a v light covering due to the tiny size of the flakes.

Could it get heavier i wonder?

Another leeds memeber!! These increase on a daily bases, unfortuantley its not the intensity we should be bothered about atm its the rising temps thats hit south yorkshire and has turned the snow to sleet, im really hoping that it doesnt affect us, time will tell...

Well heavy snow only a mile from my house now... what a shame its a vertical mile! On the other hand the yellows on the meto radar do seem to have made a surge north over the past few hours. Hopefully that will counteract these pesky rising temperatures...

I believe it. It has been on the cards.

Think you'll be under precipitation for a few hours though, so always a chance.
