What do you think the prospects are for tonight??

Im going for 2hours of light snow with snow making its way as far North as North Yorkshire

Yes I agree, I think we will see some light snow too - it's just a matter of waiting now to see how

things develop.

To be honest, I'd rather have a couple of hours of light snow than a load of rain, which

some people will have :)

Looking at the radar, it is eaking northwards at approximately 10 miles each hour.

I conclude that it will reach us in July, and be rain obviously, as the rest of the country basks in a heatwave.

I really don't feel like we're missing out any more, honest - what's happening in the Midlands is several hours of heavy rain and washing away all the snow cover. If it does turn to snow, it will struggle to settle and might not even make up the totals before the rain melted it all.

Better to stick with the 12cm I still have, than getting rid of it in the possibility of a marginal snow event.

Well you've been praying all week and because of this, precipitation reaching Harrogate is inevitable. I hope for your sake it is snow whilst I bask in more dryness and cloud.

What is your current temperature and dewpoint and is it stable or trending upwards?

I'd have to agree. Started as sleet and now looks like drizzle.
